When is the subscription date for the public rights issue?  I could not find the dates on KIT announcements.

KIT is a business trust and not a REIT.  Thus the standard regulations governing REIT might not apply to a business trust.

Thanks for correcting the mistake, iCR=(23.5+111.7)/111.7= 1.21 which is still relatively low.  MAS had proposed to require S-REITs to have a minimum ICR of 2.5 times.

You need to add back the $111.7m to calculate EBIT.

Basically, S-REIT average ICR is about 3.5x which gives them higher headroom to take more debts.

ehclim      ( Date: 26-Apr-2023 09:23) Posted:

High ICR is better which gives the company higher moat.

From their AR22 report, EBIT was $23.5m whereas their finance costs were $111.7m. Interest Coverage Ratio, ICR = EBIT/ Interest Expense which is 23.5m/111.7 equals to 0.2x which is way below the recommended ICR of 5 times. DYODD

Good point. One needs to ensure one has the amount of uninvested money in your SRS and if not one can still transfer if contribution for this year has not been max out. Another is selling another SRS equity to raise the required amount assuming KIT is deemed preferred over other equity. Personal investment planning thought required.

Srs is really a problem, if not enough money in srs account will be a problem.

SRS application for rights do not go through ATM (which is based on your cash accounts). Your SRS bank will send you a mail to reply how much Rights you wish to apply. In the past you can only return the Reply portion by return mail or fax. Note by the time you receive the mail, you may have literally just a few days to reply to meet the due date time so you need to factor in days to get back to them if you use postal submission. Some banks today has a more instant and swift digital reply method. Example DBS offer the use of their Digibot for SRS investors to reply digitally and acknowledgment is immediate and fast - I recommend this mode if you are subscribing.

How about buying rights from SRS? also ATM?

Tanahkow      ( Date: 20-Apr-2023 19:58) Posted:

The company will send you notice on the dates, go to bank ATM (Normally DBS, OCBC and UOB), apply under rights offer for your entitlement which will be listed on the screen.

You may also apply excess and they will usually gave you the round up nunber of units if you application is small

If first time applying via ATM, you may asked to enter your CDP number.

Ok 15 years to 2038.
One thing good is that Germany just announced to shut down all nuclear plants, so demand from other energy source shld increase.

ehclim      ( Date: 19-Apr-2023 11:49) Posted:

BKR2 operates under the German EEG 2014 market premium mechanism, which has an attractive Feed-in-Tariff and guaranteed floor price till 2038, providing strong cash flow visibility for the project. This arrangement de-risks the asset. The project also holds a 20-year power purchase agreement and a 20-year operations and maintenance agreement (OMA), until 2038, with Ø rsted. The long-term OMA has a largely fixed operational cost base which provides significant cost certainty and cash flow visibility. As the 50% shareholder of BKR2, Ø rsted will continue to operate BKR2 with a strong alignment of interest.

Did KIT disclose any agreement with Germany government? Example when end of subsidy? End of electricity price or purchase obligation?

SPVs were typically used only by financial institutions and those in the real estate market. The concept allowed a parent company to make highly leveraged or speculative investments via their Special Purpose Vehicles without endangering the entire company.
