Sounds reassuring.    I think GLP' s got a great future coz the mgt team is strong.      The price volatility is pretty high for this stock, hope it swings up pretty soon.

Anyway, not invested in GLP.    I used to be a fan of this co. and still is.

My hot funds are in UE, and yet to put my idle funds in a vehicle as I am waiting for a mkt correction which would bring stocks down perhaps 10% or maybe a bit more.

It' s just a mere 300mil investment, or 4% of their NAV, into the US market. I see the prior selling as a short term panic for the deal does has execution and underwriting risk. But we see that it" s met by strong resistance at 2.52. GLP is just too fundamentally strong. Any price below 2.50   is   significantly undervaluing GLP

analyst89      ( Date: 13-Dec-2014 00:10) Posted:

It' s not a fall. It' s a swing. In short, bottom 2.52 has been tested alrdy. Fund hse is going to buy in from here on. Ppl are selling cuz of risk of over diversification. But the resistance at 2.52 is too strong. It' s only one way now.

I disagree. They have made a lot of costly mistakes in the past.      Cannot assume GIC is smart.

Having said that, GIC gives muscle to the project.      they have the monies.

I personally like GLC' s biz model, studied it in detail and find it really something that is sustainable.

Logistics, warehousing is necessary in the internet age, this is a fact we cannot escape.      All these goods, you need good mgt, low cost solutions, economies of scale.

But investors would like to know did GLP/GIC buy at a good price?    Or were they suckers?

This question remains unanswered.  I myself wouldn' t put down any money till I know what' s happening.

You can' t just trust GIC or trust GLP, that' s not acceptable.

Why is GLP' s price falling.  Go figure.

Let' s see how it does.    I am optimistic about GLP, however totally in the dark about this new development.    Did they buy low, or did they overpay Blackstone?  I have no idea at all, and many are in similar quandry.

The entry into US market with GIC is positive.  If I am not wrong the initial 55% ownership will be down to 10% by august ..it seem they have commitment from some investor. This 10% ownership is profitable and positive for GLP into the US market. GIC army of finaicial ppl are not stupid with their investment too.
At P/BV of 1.12 and a BV of 2.42....I wonder how much more can it drop ( below book value ?)
The logistic market of CHINA is a hugh potential with the type of offer from GLP. Yes X change is a worry but GLP shld now how to handle this. They do have cash on hand.

Certainly a worthwhile consideration for the long term holder.

Moody' s just issue a statement with regards to GLP US market entry. In terms on risk, it is extremely low, due to strategic partnership with GIC, a 35% stakeholder and quality investor. Outcome: No rating impact. I see the risk sentiment dying down with this confirmation, so with all the sellings

Definitely, to some extent. China' s inflation fell 5 years low + Ban on low grade corporate bonds for SHORT-TERM borrowings. But see how capitaland' s share price isn t affected? Ppl are shorting on their US market entry. It' s pretty strange though. every fund house JP morgan/BOA/GS/MS/UBS had a upwards EPS revision. Every CS which stated a HOLD position, had a upwards revision on EPS.

I see the floor at 2.52, which has been reached. I will say it' s time to buy in now, with all shorts covering..

Must look at the details of the new venture, if it' s positive, it' s a good chance to buy when mkt sells out in confusion.

In the first place, which co will commit hari kiri willingly?      So potential investors need to examine the details.

The flag seems blown, but the formation is rather odd, looks somewhat like consol for a breakout.  You hv two inverted hammers.
