The turning point came when the
Tans put in a bid for Straits Trading Company (STC) under Tecity in January 2008, prompting a counter-bid from Lee&rsquo s investment holding firm, Lee Latex.
At the time, the Lees owned 7 per cent of STC and controlled 33 per cent through OCBC and Great Eastern. The Lees counterbid twice before Tecity issued its final price in March 2008, valuing STC at about US$1.7 billion.
And why only DBS giving their rating on straits trading. What is UOB and OCBC doing?
Somemore it doesn' t make sense current valuation is worth 1.04 billion. Given its ARA stake is worth that much or more

I really believe ARA will IPO this year and it' s soon. Given inflation keeps going up which is good for them. If they wait next year, interest rate most likely will hike then the opportunity for them slips away. This year IPO will be the best timing for them. High inflation, Low interest rate

At $2.661 per share. Straits Trading is valued at $1.08 Billion. I believe its still at a cheap price. I am comfortable of holding even though it drop due to the governement annoucement of CB

I brought 33 400 shares today at 2.66 SGD. Hope ARA IPO this coming months!!
