The smartphone/tablet market is gravitating towards HDR Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for superior video and audio quality as their selling point.
The licensing fees to use Qualcomm chipset is US$7.50/unit. Audio licensing fees should be way less.

Just attended Creative Tech AGM. Happy to hear that Mr Sim wants to re-engage the China market in a big way, and also there is ongoing discussion (company name cannot be disclosed due to sensitivity) with a very big handphone maker to OEM Creative Super X-fi. Stay tuned for more future announcements
Fairdeal
If the ongoing discussion with a very big handphone maker to OEM Creative Super Xifi is Huawei or Xiaomi, then we are talking about the potential of 200 million Super Xifi modules to be sold to Huawei based on their 2018 sales figures. (Huawei has revealed it sold 200 million smartphones in 2018) or if Xiaomi then it's potential of 119 million (Xiaomi sold 119 million in 2018). Let us take the figure of 100 million Super Xifi Modules are built into either one of the mobile phones, say at $20 per Super Xifi module (value is grabbed from the air), then we are talking about $2 billion worth of sales per year. This is better than selling headphones or in-ear earphones. Though the profit margin is lower, marketing and distribution cost is also minimal.
If the Chinese mobile phones are looking for the X-factor to beat iPhone then I think the built-in Super Xifi in their mobile phone could make the difference. I think the Creative Team is doing a fantastic job. This is only my personal view.

I'm surprised there is no update regarding the performance share plan and the proposed options to be granted at discount under the scheme.

The Creative Sound Blaster X3 is an excellent DAC with Super X-Fi. It's a capable unit that can supply very high-quality audio to your favorite headphones. Whether you should invest in this technology depends on how much weight you put on audio for gaming and other media consumption. Http://Creative.com/X3 #SuperXFi
Pls dont compare this with first iPhone launch.
One is Panda, the No 1 is Prada.

I still think Q2 Financial Result will be much better than first Q1 For MAINBOARD-LISTED Creative Technology because of Christmas season and New year and greeting exchange present Sx?fi will show their better result. Last chance to believe Creative

Sorry to read a post that someone is still holding on to this stock bought at $5+.
You need to make a decision while it is still worth $3+ today.
At its peak during the Sound Blaster days, it was $80, yes $80.
Since then, it drifted, and there has been no return.
The only hope is a reverse takeover by a leading technology company,
but the founder may not part with his pride.
