TH may revise their offer price but it will not be in their interests to call off the deal.
TH needs to take control of Keppel to engineer a merger between Keppel O& M and SCM. Both of these arms are cancerous to Keppel and SCI and by merging them , TH will derive better value via higher stock prices for their Keppel and SCI holdings.

Do you think Temasek will proceed with the Sembcorp deal announced just in June if they have no intention to proceed with the Keppel deal? 

Offer was announced when keppel was trading at $5.84 which is not far off from today. From TA expert' s reasoning, why didn' t Temasek simply acquire from the market but announce acquisition at such an " expensive" price? 

 

Certainly. Keppel is a $7 stock at minimum. Just like sembcorp, it is unfortunate to be dragged down by the marine segment. And Temasek having huge stakes in the 2 companies has a grand restructing plan for this 2 mighty conglomerates. Hop on the boat and ride it along with the big boss.

The Offer Price of S$7.35 per Share is not excessive considering that Keppel was a $11 stock as recent as 2014 and $8 stock in 2018.

I  really wonder why you are so negative about these 2 glorious companies. It is quite obvious what the grand plans that Temasek have for the companies.

 

Do you understand? No investor will understand unless you are insiders.

Leave it to Temasek and Keppel to do the numbering.

The fact is that share of price Keppel soared when the news came out out.

Without this news, do you think Keppel share price can stay above $6 for so long?

Understood is a loss coming.Furthermore it mentioned significantly and adversely impacted" by recognition of material impairments, relating mainly to its offshore and marine (O& M) business.
SMM in same sector is badly affected how can Keppel Corp be unscathed.

Buy on news and look after 6months is what  investors are looking at. Next on the cards. Dispose the offshore & marine segment. Temasek has a grand plan, pretty sure the deal will still go through.
