If you visit one of these more successfully run supermalls in China, there are many attractions. The malls are off the main town area and getting there means avoiding the jams in town areas. The price range is huge. So it is not quite correct to say all the stuffs are high end. Usually there is a large upmarket corner - your expensive F& B and luxury brands, and on another end, Walmart or equivalents, together with MacDonalds etc. And lots of non-retail stuffs like multi-screen cinemas. And yes, I found my favourite service in one such mall - a RMB10 haircut in a decent looking shoplet.
The higher the luxury good cost, the more the ppl buy.

I suspect that investors think the trade war will affect the performance of the malls,...customers may not buy so vibrantly anymore due to lower income, and certain luxury goods imported into China will be forced to pay up to 25% tariff, hence making the items more expensive for the customers.

Sasseur Reit posted a 1st-Q distribution per unit (DPU) of 1.656 cents, 9.3% higher than the projected DPU of 1.515 cents. For the three months ended March 31, distributable income was $19.7 million, also 9.3% above forecast.
Sasseur Reit's net property income, listed as entrusted mgt agreements rental income, was $30.9 million, 2.4% above forecast.
Sasseur Reit's closed up $0.005, @$0.785.

Results just out. Changed to quarterly pay out wef 2019. 1Q payment 1.656 cents ex 27 May, +9.3% over projected yield. Nice.

Sasseur Ex Div on 4th March so last trading day of Cum Div is 1st March. Div of 3.541 cents pay date on 28th Mar.
