For the three months ended 30 June 2015 (&ldquo 2Q2015&rdquo ), the Group revenue stood at S$31.0 million, an increase of 8% from S$28.7 million a year ago (&ldquo 2Q2014&rdquo ). Notably, UMS&rsquo revenue grew 13% sequentially from S$27.5 million in the preceding quarter (&ldquo 1Q2015&rdquo ). In the previous quarter announcement, the Group&rsquo s major customer had stated that the current year trend is unique with more business activities in the second half of the year. However, the Group experienced a stronger 2Q2015 as a result of business activities picking up earlier than expected.

In line with UMS good cash generation ability, the Group registered positive operating cash flow of S$13.0 million and free cash flow of S$12.6 million in 2Q2015, compared to S$5.4 million and S$3.9 million respectively in 2Q2014.

Second Interim Dividend of 1.0 cent per ordinary share announced.

XD 8 October 2015

Payable 28 October 2015

I think UMS is considered a good dividends counter which is cheap and reward its shareholders generously. With the failed merger of Tokyo electron, AM has to depend on UMS at least for a certain period while it works out another merger deal. I vested in UMS and intend to accumulate it at weakness.

Applied Materials has reported its last Qtr 2015 results that marginally beat analysts expectations after US market closed. Its also projects better forecast target for coming Qtr of 2015. So I think that would be good to UMS for its coming revenues n profits in coming qtr too. That indicates that UMS likely to be upgraded by more analysts soon...

UMS upgraded to ' add' , target raised to 63 cents by CIMB

SINGAPORE (May 12): CIMB ( Financial Dashboard) has upgraded UMS Holdings ( Financial Dashboard) to " add" from " hold" and raised its price target to 63 cents from 55 cents, citing improving growth prospects.

Shares of UMS, which makes semiconductor components, are likely to re-rate as the business slowdown that started in June last year comes to an end, according to CIMB analyst William Tng.

The company' s ability to generate strong cash flows, coupled with a healthy balance sheet (no debt) and minimal capital expenditure needs, will ensure that it can continue to pay dividends of five cents a share every year from 2015 to 2017, Tng wrote in a note.

UMS' s 1Q2015 earnings fell 11.9% y-o-y to $8 million as revenue declined 20% to $27 million.

" We believe UMS is once again on track for y-o-y earnings recovery in the second half," said Tng.

UMS shares were up 1.9% at 54 cents at 9:46am (0146 GMT).

I think revenue should go up.  Applied Materials have little alternative but to give their business back to UMS. Bodes well for UMS.  Positive outlook for UMS.

(Bloomberg) -- Tokyo Electron Ltd. and Applied Materials
Inc. scrapped their planned merger after opposition from the
U.S. Department of Justice.
The regulator told the companies their proposal wouldn&rsquo t be
enough to remedy competition concerns, according to a statement
Monday. Applied Materials announced plans to buy back $3 billion
of stock and Tokyo Electron will purchase 120 billion yen ($1
billion) of its own shares, according to separate statements.
&ldquo Based on the DoJ&rsquo s position, Applied Materials and Tokyo
Electron have determined that there is no realistic prospect for
the completion of the merger,&rdquo they said in the statement.
Applied Materials agreed in September 2013 to buy Tokyo
Electron for $9.39 billion in stock to add scale as a shrinking
base of clients makes earnings of suppliers more volatile. Intel
Corp., Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. and Samsung
Electronics Co. now buy the majority of the production machines
deployed by the industry and are the top three customers of both
companies, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
The companies make machines that prepare silicon wafers for
imprinting with the circuits that turn them into processors
capable of crunching numbers, showing video and connecting to
mobile networks, among other tasks.

Good news for UMS. AM will continue to rely on UMS.

One of the high yield counters at affordable prices. It's ability to churn recurring cash is another plus point. Hold this pick for 2 years and a great ride with this. Collected handsome dividends and more to come

Checking its past dividends track records, it constantly declared good dividends to reward its shareholders. Another good point to take note is that this company is debt free.
