Since UMS CEO and its major stakeholder, AM are selling off their stakes, it indicates that UMS coming results will not going to be that rosy as before since both of them know the company conditions very well since both hold key roles in the company.
Amidst possibly falling margins and earnings, two of  UMS&rsquo most important stakeholders &ndash its single main customer Applied Materials and CEO Mr Andy Luong &ndash are selling their shares in the company.

Downgrade to SELL, with a lower TP of SGD0.47 (from SGD0.70) based on a 7.2x FY14 P/E, which is its 3-year historical average.
seems super bearish. may go down to 55 cents .

CEO and company sell shares is part of the profit taking. Its no big deal. It all up to personnel thinking.  After all buy low sell high.

UMS is a cash rich no debt company . At this price its a good entry point.
That' s what causing the sell-down.   All indicators pointing to UMS going up but the people who owns and knows the company decided to par down stake.
I don' t think AMAT is after the sort of meagre profit.   Perhaps reducing their vested interest in UMS gave them more room to negotiate a better deal out of UMS in which case it is no a great news to UMS.
Well only AMAT knows why.   Now their stake is below 5%, they are free to par down further without having to announce in SGX.   That really put a big ? into people mind.
ANyway. not a call to buy/sell/whatsoever.   DYDD.

I see a no. of married deals done today.
Surely these investors are cashing out due to big gains on this counter and later by cheap maybe.
Watch out.
Cheers.
Not vested.

Has dropped more than 20% from its recent high.   Can someone post support and resistance?   Thanks.
Unless they (CEO n AM) know more than what they have announced.
it seem completely irrational to plunge so much basing on their business outlook and quaterly 1¢ dividend track records.

Today UMS continue to plunge. AM continue to unload its stakes again?
There can be various reasons for selling. One is to take profit since the share price had risen almost or more than 100% from their investments and it is good time to take profit. Very unsual to see the price go up also inspite of these major sales. Wondering....
Cheers.

Dun understand why Applied Material kept on reducing its stakes in UMS recently.
Seem like whenever a company got bonus issue, its shares price will plunge when XB regardless whether the company fundamentally strong or not. Another good example is Super group. If that the case, whenever a company announced Bonus issue, investors should sell off their stakes and wait till it XB then buy back its shares at much lower price. In UMS case, how much its share price will plunge? Will its 65cts level hold?
no worries sista, i will switch some funds over here join u for tea once 62c is reached.
Good company by giving out bonus shares & consistent dividends. Andy is doing a good job.

Good idea.
