so he learnt a lesson nextime see CB must sell then after XB then buy back cheaper
:)) that means those who havent buy is a great time to hoot now lor. Who cares abt the bonus shares. The bonus shares is not beneficial to existing shareholders, it is meant for those who havent buy, the purpose of andy luong is to provide new shareholders with a chance to buy low if they are interested.

Yesterday' s closing price was $0.91. So the adjusted price after XB will be $0.728. So if you bought at $0.9 ytd, your adjusted cost will be $0.72. Usually the share price drops more after going ex-div or ex-bonus

No, did not sell. 1st time got bonus share so dunno what to do, lesson learnt.
But got new question - if like that, why would anyone buy just before the ex-bonus date knowing that the price will drop and they can get it cheaper after ex-date? Take this example I buy 20,000 shares at $0.96 ($19,200) and get 5000 shares today. But if I buy today 25,000 shares at $0.70, I only need to pay $17,500. Even if I buy yesterday at @ $0.90, I still need $18,000. Don' t make sense buying before ex-date leh?

Why sudden drop today? What happens
Hi there, newbie here hoping to learn from the pros here. Can anyone advise which is a better investment strategy? I have some ums shares bought at abot 60 cents and I do want to keep it cause it pays well but want to take some profit from this bonus issue. Is it better to sell now @ $0.96 then buy back after ex-bonus or take the bonus share and then sell it?
may be testing $1.00.

Its going EX-Bonus on Thursday the 5th, so shortist will pump and dump the stock. Good Co. though giving dividends every quarter.
After bonus will be cheaper to buy.

Did not notice 1Q 2014 financial results were out on 8 may.. Net profit increased by 63% year on year.
Maintained positive outlook for semiconductor industries, as usual proposed quarterly dividend of 1￠ .
Share is now traded with CB/CD. I think share price upwards movement on 9th May might be due to the outstanding quarterly performances and bonus issues.

Cheers to those who believe and support stocks which consistently give dividends...seem like something is brewing judging from today price movement.
