Softened for a few days but didn' t break down below 60c. Look like it may be ready to clear 65/66c and move toward 70c in due time. Stay tuned!

64 - 65.5c are well absorbed. Look like about to run to next level. Cheong Arh!
65c  to 80c --> 23% upside
Nice break 65c. 80c gap to be covered by this week?
Volume is expanding well. Let' s see if we could break through 65c today or tomorrow.
looks like a clean  breakout at 60c.  Price should be moving toward 80c...notice the gap there?
I believe the result' s gonna be better this time round.  N maybe can expect div again?

I wldn' t say never.  But to say it' s a no brainer, I beg to differ.  Yes, I' m sure HL Corp has $$$, lots of it in fact.  But my sense mostly they just wanna maintain majority control over their stable of coys n retain their resources for new opportunities that might come their way.  Arguably, this is prudent n what astute-minded businessmen wld do.  Of course they did try to do it for M& C.  But that ostensibly was due to the need for substantial re-development costs of properties (if I recall correctly) which was gonna eat into profitability for sometime.  That' s what they said anyway.

The price now is sub-60, far off the NAV of $1.00. If they offer (even @ $0.80) it will be a win-win for HL and the existing shareholders.
And the fact that they are trying privatize a company (you mentioned) means they have the money. With HLA so undervalue at current price, I see it as a no-brainer to privatize HLA at this juncture.
75.1% is very close to the 90% which they need to privatize a COY. I am not saying that it will, but I am just saying from numbers point-of-view (price as well as % holding), higher chance than ever.

| I think not.  How many HL related coys have gone private or major s/holders have attempted to take private over the last 20 yrs.  They did try to take M& C, a CD subsidiary private recently.  But when minority wanted a higher px, they dropped it eventually.  Anyway, this one NAV abt 1 SGD.  How much will they pay?  I believe they' d rather leave it since they have majority control.  I also believe the coy cld be turning ard after hiving off lost ops in China.  So, maybe share px cld be turning up over the next few qtrs.  DYODD as always.  |
