dolby invented atmos, initially meant for cinema and home theather system, and needs many speakers.

last year, dolby come out with dolby atmos for mobile, it can provide atmos-like surround sound using a pair of headphone or ear piece.  Of course, the effects are not as good as real multi-speakers setup, same as super xfi, no matter what SIM claimed.
