Sounds like you are a substantial shareholder. You can well afford to sell some then

| Certainly a share which was trading at 35 cents then falls to 28 cents when the company announces it wont pay a half year dividend, then moves back to 33.5 cents when the company announces it will pay a full year dividend including catching up on the HY dividend it didnt pay represents a great trading opportunity, all in the course of half a year. At least for those who understood what was going on. |

I get that the status quo is attractive. At the current share price you get a share paying a sustainable dividend yield of 12.9% with the dividend likely to go up.
But there is another way of looking at it. PCRD is simplistically a holding company for PCCW shares. PCCW shares in themselves already yield 10% I could match the 12.9% PCRD yield by buying PCCW shares and using a bit of leverage (which is effectively what PCRD itself is doing).
Meanwhile PCRD is trading at a material discount to that implied by the PCCW price. On my calcs PCRD should be trading at least 30% higher (not investment advice, do your own research, all the other usual disclaimers etc). At least part of that discount reflects the costs of the PCRD holding company structure (paying board members etc). My own preference would be for Richard Li to privatise PCRD by splitting the 30% upside with us, and I could then go out and buy PCCW shares directly (potentially with leverage) with the proceeds. Win for us and win for Richard Li |

OIC but why targets for end game?
Probably I am more optimistic and this maybe a start of Corp manoeuvre by Mr Richard Li.
So far, enjoying the bountiful dividends received 😋

OK, thank you for the feedback.
The most important person, Richard Li, himself will typically not be present at the AGM (I have not seen him in the past 4- 5 AGMs). So the replies to questions raised will just be politically correct answers, with nothing much to give away.

Paying > 10% dividend this year?
Unheard of in my investing life.
Trade 10% yields
