To be fair though, most price run-ups do not lead to a GO (of course!). But most GOs are preceded by a price run-up, at least I believe so.
Yup, You are absolutely right.

Yes, the offeror would like to strike quietly. But somehow, it seems that news of impending GO get leaked before announcement is made. That' s why we often see a price run-up before the actual GO announcement is made. As least that' s my theory.

When you have an intention to acquire a listed company, you dont show in the market that you are.
You would strike quietly with a GO when the price is right to buy it cheaply.
Yes?

Buy early before flying to gain more, as  is another golden opportunity after Hong Fok.

After Hong Fok, this baby could be next to fly.
Maybe QLC using Brexit impasse to exit? He just need another 5% to reach 75%...haha  |

Sorry for the typo error. It was an honest mistake. Should be $0.73, not $0.83. I apologize.

| Brother, it' s 73c.  I jumped when I saw 83c.  Looks like this chap will eventually make a move on GL.  Maybe, by until 85%.  then offer 1.30 or more to mop up the remnants.  Seems that he offered 1.20 a few yrs ago but obviously not too many bothered.  |

wow breakout 775!
Thx for correction.  But, yes, looks like he' ll eventually take it pte.  Maybe, he' s trying to make sure it succeeds.      I' m putting a bet at 1.30.

QLC has crossed 70%.  But he has taken his time upping gradually.  Me think not likely that a privatisation will come so soon although it cld well happen eventually.

Total of 4.346 mil bought by QLC over 3 trading days from 14 to 18 March. Is he going to make his move to privatise GL soon?
