PLan to buy more for CLI next Monday
Ok good for you
On Monday there will be many dumping CICT for cash
or to buy more CLI - I strongly suggest your brothers don' t
follow the negative herd - wait - after a while CICT will rally
in fact my plan is to buy more CICT on weakness

Ok follow this
Let' s say I have 13 odd shares of CICT
It follows that even with free odd lots trading it' s going to cost taxes etc
Most other brokers who are not on the ' free' odd lot list will have a minimum of about $80 charge per transaction
So logically you either buy more to make up to it worth selling or y sell the 13 and receive almost nothing
so we can sell the shares together with odd lots together? under same contract?
such as u mentioned 10009?

The commission is free but the GST, clearing fee, misc fee is NOT free..
So not worth to sell just the odd lots.. the fee may costs more than the odd lots.
Let say u have 10009 shares. U sold 10000 on main market and 9 on unit market. And u ask ur broker to separate into 2 contracts
one board lot aka 10000 shares sell and the other 9 shares unit market sell. U will have to pay GST, clearing fee, misc fee for the
9 shares which is more than the proceed itself.
So what u can do is lump everything into one contract. so in the end it becomes 10009 shares sell.. this is a better way.

I reckon this is due to fractional shares being rounded to the nearest whole share. Capitaland stated that it will be rounded down, hence the slightly lower rate.

Actually, they didn' t give you the exact number, only say estimated to be between 0.151 to 0.155.
in the end (today) they OFFICIALLY announced that the final amount is 0.15467. It' s on the official SGX website.

I held 60000 capland so was expecting 0.155 * 60000 = 9300 cict no odd lots
But received 9280 cict which works out to be 0.154666
Anyone happens to know why? |

Why I don't see any CICT in my poems account?
Ladies and gentlemen, don' t listen to all the nonsensical so called expert advice on selling of odd lots of CICT.
If you are on internet trading, if you sell the main lots yourself and sell the odd lots through a dealer or remisier, you can combine both into one contract. NO such thing as cannot. In fact if your trading house is in the odd lots trading scheme, you may save some money in the sale of the odd lots, if you combine with the main lots. Of course if you sell everything through a dealer, it will be just be one contract, no separation into main lots and odd lots.
keep both your CLIM and CICT shares, don' t be in a hurry to sell. In few weeks time it will be reporting season, expect both to strengthen from there.
Think if the price holds below SGD2.90 - may consider using the proceeds from CapLand to buy CLIM. Lets see. Hope the price holds.

Last min HUGE sell volume but supported by even HUGE buy volume
==> WIN-WIN
1) There seems to be institutional selling of CICT presuming to buy CLI on Monday, so hopefully CLI can open high.
2) But equally there is a strong institutional support of CICT so CICT should be well supported.
Win win situation in this case.

I got 1701 CICT shares instead of 1705.
Luckily not 1699, else will be tricky.
Let's hope CLI does well on Mon.
