New Chinese Exchange-Traded Products Poised to Further Boost Gold Demand

While the languishing paper-gold market has many declaring the gold trade dead, demand for bullion has never been greater, as buyers have focused on the big picture that includes endemic debt levels and unsustainable money-printing schemes. This long-term investment approach is most prevalent in the Eastern world, where India and China, the world's two largest consumers of gold, are pouncing on the opportunity to accumulate gold at bargain prices.

According to the World Gold Council (WGC), Chinese coin and bar demand jumped 22% during the first three months of 2013 to a quarterly record of 109.5 tonnes, or more than twice the five-year quarterly average of 43.8 tonnes. Demand really skyrocketed following the massive sell-off of Western gold funds as China imported between 160 and 170 tonnes in April alone. By year-end, the WGC projects that net Chinese imports could eclipse 880 tonnes.

Chinese Buying Frenzy Leads to Shortages and Sky-High Premiums for physical gold....

They hacked SPH cos the reporter twisted their words. They have no issues with any other organization.

The Nov 5 is the government censorship of the Internet. The attack will only hit the program. Not SGX.

Once again, there won't be any issues with the hackers and SGX. But we won't know if their actions will trigger any selling.

Relax dude, I am vested and I hope it go up to that high as well.

But the annoymous is making a cyber attack next tuesday. I am afraid that they might disrupt the exchange computer system. They just broke into SPH system this monring (go google the youtube video they posted). If they were to do the same thing to SGX or any important national system, there would be chaos. Even if I don't sell, the market would still sell out of fear.

Remember. Remember. The fifth of November.

re-read LionGold's SGX submission on Oct 11th, as posted here again !  It indicates stellar results in a week's time !!! Why 0.245, it should be way up to 0.70+. And more, if gold price goes to 1600+ again which it shall, definitely by year end !!  And if you look at gold's price history over 30 years.....it has only gone up and up and shall go up and up only.

LionGold produced 13,845 ounces of gold in Q2 FY2014 and grows resources to 7 million ounces with completion of the Acadian Mining acquisition.  Media_Release_Update_on_Acadian_Shares.pdf
