issues is how high will FE go? $0.8 or 1?
FE' s share price was unfairly punished 2-3 years ago due to the Ukrainian crisis. However, what is important is that how the management reacted to this (temporary) setback.   Well, they went on or doubled-up the following initiatives :
1. Market diversification - The new market growth in Indochina has been remarkable.   They are making aggresive inroads into Mongolia and China   this year.
2. Go upstream - set up own production and manufacturing plants in India, Malaysia & etc. (Watch what the CEO said when he officiated their Indian plant - that the Indian plant has been profitable since 1st year of operation).
3. Go downstream - acquisition of Caffe Bene (although I am still neutral on this initiative).
4. Relentless marketing
5. Strategic acquisitions.
6. Introduction of new products
7. Company share buybacks (not to mention by the CEO on his personal account)
Never mind the unexpected political crisis in Ukraine which is beyond FE' s control temporary setback will be permanent if you sit around and do nothing.
In my opinion, 1. FE' s management is focused and has a clear road map on how to recoup lost revenues resulted from the Ukrainian crisis (and the last reported figures showed that they are well on track).   2. What is within their control, FE' s management controls well so far.   These 2 ingredients alone are good enough for me to have vested interest in FE for the long haul, unless interupted suddenly by another GFC.   In my humble opinion, the initiatives above have just begun to show sign of investment returns for FE.
Can you still buy FE ?   You be the judge : )

The brick wall that the BB put at 0.62 is really thick, so disproportionate to the counter' s total volume. Want to put also no need to put until so thick to the extent of being so obvious. It' s like swapping a fly using a sledge hammer.

I concur.

Its 4Q2016 and 2017 results should be exicting, barring any adverse and severe global economic downturn.   The effects of its upstream production CAPEX for the past few years, M& A activities, aggressive marketing, concious cost-cuting and increasing Indo-China market penetration should show in its books in the next few quaters.   The expected Russian Ruble turn-around in 2017 should be another catalyst for a good bottom-line this year.   My 2-cents.

Food Empire Holdings UOB Kay Hian
(FEH SP/BUY/S$0.565/Target: S$0.78)
Initiate coverage with a BUY on this
dominant coffee mix market leader in
Eastern Europe with a target price o
S$0.78. Previously impacted by the
collapse of the Russian rouble, Food
Empire should make its comeback in
2016. With the revival of the rouble and
the explosive growth in Vietnam, profits
should rise in 2016-17. Besides its proven
pricing power and US$174.8m in brand
value, the CEO is buying back shares
aggressively and we believe investor
should follow.
Lol....,those buggers who short this counter past few days " Kah Chng pit" !

Waiting for McDonald's action....
If McDonald no action in US, means why they brought it up to win in EU ?
Not very consistent. Very unlike McDonald.
