Stocks: Let the good times roll?CNNMoney) -- Stocks surged last wk to their highest levels in years. The big news last week was Friday's report from the U.S. Labor Department, which showed a much larger-than-expected increase in hiring and a surprise drop in the unemployment rate. Investors cheered the jobs data, which came on the heels of upbeat reports on auto sales, construction spending and manufacturing activity. The Dow rose 1.6% last week, ending at its highest point since May 2008. The Nasdaq jumped 3.2% over the last five trading days, climbing to its highest level since December 2000, and the S& P 500 added 2.2%.

According to Lynas, the AELB will meet on January 30 to decide on whether to issue a pre-operating licence which will be followed by a full licence within two years if the plant meets safety requirements outlined in its application. Lynas is anticipating a windfall of RM8 billion a year from 2013 onwards. Meantime, disposing of radioactive waste on an uninhabited island would be the most expensive option for Lynas Corp if the Australian miner’s plans to reprocess residue from its RM2.5 billion rare earth plant in Kuantan fails. http://aliran.com/7759.html Japanese govt and electricity utilities insisted that  it nuclear power technology is superior. However, Fukushima showed us that they were so wrong. The fallout, nuclear reactors contaminated a vast land area, the air and the sea. I want the M'sian govt and its people to recognise that the Fukushima tragedy could happen to any country that embraces nuclear power. Australian uranium was used in the Fukushima reactors that were destroyed in March. We Australians do not want to be responsible for similar disasters in Malaysia. A  50-yr lifespan, a single nuclear reactor is responsible for 1500 tonnes of high-level nuclear waste and a staggering 35mil tonnes of low level radioactive tailings waste. Representative of the Fukushima Network for Protecting Children from Radiation, Seiichi Nakate, said:
Thot of the day - The Malaysian govt should not bequeath this toxic legacy to future generations.

http://aliran.com/7039.html  Lynas: A colossal catastrophe waiting to happen, written by - concerned citizen, living in Kuantan for the past 60-odd years. Who? beneficiaries of d RM8bn a yr income -  state govt, Lynas Aus, federal govt, Lynas (M) Sdn Bhd? “Atomic Board has limited jurisdiction” (press report). Does it mean that in matters outside its jurisdiction, it can wash its hands and put the blame on other agencies like the Malaysian Nuclear Agency, the Dept of Environment and even the State Development Corp?. I  am sure those who built the plants in the Three Mile Island in USA (1979), Chernobyl (1986) and Fukushima (2011) had taken utmost precautions to prevent disasters and yet they happened. Thousands of people died in these disasters and thousands more are still suffering the after-effects of these disasters. Do we want to have a similar situation in this country?

It always two way or more in multiple way,  many will loss, for the few  to win. In the art of stock deadly  manipulation by the players for the players, be it for or against. just an eg - STK  that trades with    huge VOL  at higher prices  can signal  the start of distribution to unsuspecting players... and  there after prices will  remain stag.

Year 2012. The index shown realy promise opening up, market was buoyed by buying interest from institutional investors, they were buying selectively after those volatile, 2nd half of year 2011, most were sold down. Do trade selectively as there are many good stock available, do it with a pin of salt. |
