UPDATE ON PROJECT SODIUM HYDROSULFITE The Board of Directors of Jiutian Chemical Group Limited (the &ldquo Company&rdquo and the &ldquo Group&rdquo ) refers to its announcements dated 7 April 2015 and 1 April 2013 in relation to the investment of project sodium hydrosulfite (the &ldquo Project&rdquo ) in Anyang Jiujiu Chemical Technology Co., Ltd (a 74% associated company of the Company) (&ldquo Anyang Jiujiu&rdquo ). The Board wishes to update all Shareholders that the commercial production of the Project is now expected to commence in 1H2017. The key production facilities have been completed and the delay is mainly due to an unforeseen delay in the construction of a dedicated solid waste incineration plant requested to be built by the Department of Environmental Protection of Henan Province, in line with the more stringent environmental protection policies in China. Delays have also been encountered in the approval of some of the necessary licenses required for commercial production. These issues, including the construction of the incineration plant, are expected to be resolved and completed by 1H2017. Upon commencement of commercial production slated for 1H2017, the Project is expected to have a material impact on the earnings per share and net tangible assets per share of the Group for the financial year ending 31 December 2017. |

Gross profit improved from RMB 4.42 million in 2Q2015 to RMB 12.91 million in 2Q2016. It was largely driven by improvements in operating efficiency at the plants from the continuous improvement efforts.
