Profit warining of making big loss...... share price goes up...? PROFIT GUIDANCE FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2016 The Board of Directors of Lafe Corporation Limited (the &ldquo Company&rdquo , and together with its subsidiaries. The &ldquo Group&rdquo ) deems it appropriate to issue a profit guidance following a preliminary review of the unaudited financial results of the Group for the financial year ended 31 December 2016. The Group is expected to report a substantial loss for the entire financial year ended 31 December 2016 as compared to the reported results for the nine months ended 30 September 2016 mainly due to the requirement for: 1) Impairment provision for the trademark based on its fair value valuation at the year-end date and 2) Additional provision for rental guarantee obligations based on management&rsquo s assessment at the year-end date. Further details of the Group&rsquo s performance and the valuation of the trademark will be disclosed when the Group announces its unaudited financial results for the year ended 31 December 2016 on or before 28 February 2017. |

There is a EGM this Saturday to approve the sale to the majority shareholder' s wife. Details as follows: Last date and time for lodgement of Proxy Form : 17 September 2015 at 10.00 a.m. Date and time of Special General Meeting : 19 September 2015 at 10.00 a.m. Place of Special General Meeting : Concorde Hotel, 100 Orchard Road, Orchard, Singapore 238840 There has also been an issuance of placement shares of almost 8% of the enlarged share base, completed on 14 September 2015. Likely that this could be held by a related person who would be approving the deal. Calling out to shareholders to attend the meeting as the deal could be very detrimental to the minority shareholders. |

anyone has any insight to this.... co is disposing properties at emerald hills and its an interested party transaction owner' s wife buying up the subsidiary where emerald hill' s propeties reside in......rationale ...sale hit by cooling measures...seems like lining up their own pockets..?? |
