Civmec mostly secure Australian projects. Looking good, but the stock price doesn' t seem to be good at all. Anyway, I' m still watching.... Civmec awarded contracts for Northern Gas Pipeline in Australia http://www.businesstimes.com.sg/companies-markets/civmec-awarded-contracts-for-northern-gas-pipeline-in-australia   Wed, Sep 27, 2017 - 6:28 PM
CIVMEC Ltd has been awarded several contracts by Jemena Northern Gas Pipeline Pty Ltd for Jemena' s Northern Gas Pipeline (NGP) project, located near Tennent Creek in Australia. In a Singapore Exchange filing, the mainboard-listed construction and engineering services provider said on Wednesday that the project includes camp set-up, site civil, structural steel fabrication and the Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation (SMPEI) installation works at the Phillip Creek Compressor Station. The SMPEI works involve the installation of the gas treatment equipment, residue gas compressor packages, export gas compressor packages, control room, switch room, as well as other components. Site civil works have commenced and the SMPEI installation works are expected to start in late-September 2017, with completion scheduled for August 2018. Patrick Tallon, CEO of Civmec, said: " This is a significant and strategic award for us and, combined with the scope growth at the Inpex project in Darwin, it will see an enlargement of our on-site capabilities within our oil and gas division and an expansion of our brand in the Northern Territory." Civmec closed trading at S$0.58 on Wednesday, down 1.5 Singapore cents, or 2.52 per cent.     |

Another contract in the bag by CIVMEC. Anyway, I have already sold off mine. Looking to buy back some time later. Meantime, hope it will gap up tomorrow, and if it did, congrats to holders who bought recently. http://www.businesstimes.com.sg/companies-markets/civmec-tie-up-wins-contract-for-gruyere-gold-project-in-australia Civmec tie-up wins contract for Gruyere Gold Project in Australia MAINBOARD-LISTED Civmec Limited, as part of the Amec Foster Wheeler Civmec JV (ACJV), has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract for the Gruyere Gold Project in Western Australia. The Australia-based construction and engineering services provider said in a press release on Monday that onsite work is scheduled to start in July 2017. More than 300 personnel will be involved in the project, with completion scheduled for December 2018. Patrick Tallon, chief executive officer of Civmec, said: " As a tier one EPC contractor we look forward to transferring our knowledge of the project into the delivery of a successful overall outcome for all stakeholders. This is one of the largest and most prestigious projects in Western Australia and we are delighted to play a major part." ACJV is a 50-50 unincorporated joint venture between Civmec Construction and Engineering Pty Ltd and Amec Foster Wheeler Australia Pty Ltd. Civmec said that including the 50 per cent share of this project, its order book stands at about S$526 million.   |

http://infopub.sgx.com/FileOpen/Civmec%20Announcement_ASC-CivmecForgacs-JV.ashx?App=Announcement& FileID=443851 Good for those who are thinking of a longer term return. CIVMEC AND ASC SHIPBUILDING JOIN FORCES FOR AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE PROGRAMS SINGAPORE &ndash 20 March 2017 &ndash Australia-based Civmec Ltd (&ldquo Civmec&rdquo or the &ldquo Group&rdquo ), through its wholly owned subsidiary, Forgacs Marine and Defence Pty Ltd (&ldquo Forgacs&rdquo ), today announced it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with ASC Shipbuilding Pty Ltd (&ldquo ASC Shipbuilding&rdquo ) to jointly bid for the build of 12 Offshore Patrol Vessels (&ldquo OPVs&rdquo ) for the Royal Australian Navy (&ldquo RAN&rdquo ). ASC Shipbuilding and Forgacs were jointly chosen by two of the three shortlisted designers to work with them on the tender for the Commonwealth Government&rsquo s OPV program, known as Project SEA 1180. B.V. Scheepswerf Damen Gorinchem of the Netherlands and Lü rssen Werft GmbH & Co. KG of Germany are two of the shortlisted designers. ASC Shipbuilding and Forgacs will work with both companies on their bids for Project SEA 1180 and also to explore opportunities to build other Minor War Vessels for the RAN and export markets. ASC Shipbuilding and Civmec/Forgacs have agreed to share intellectual property regarding shipbuilding and steel fabrication. If the tender is successful, ASC Shipbuilding and Forgacs will form a 50:50 joint venture to build the OPVs, utilizing the expertise of the experienced ship designers from Europe. Two OPVs will be built at ASC Shipbuilding&rsquo s facilities in South Australia and the remainder at Civmec/Forgacs&rsquo facilities in Western Australia. The ASC Shipbuilding and Forgacs joint venture provides an integrated solution to OPV production with seamless transition of the construction activity from South Australia to Western Australia. &ldquo It sees the two main shipbuilding hubs of Adelaide in South Australia and Henderson in Western Australia becoming closely linked in a relationship which will offer considerable advantages to a national naval shipbuilding industry,&rdquo said Civmec Chairman, Mr. James Fitzgerald. The ASC Shipbuilding and Forgacs joint venture will contribute to the Federal Government&rsquo s naval ship building policy and creates the foundations for a fresh look at Australia&rsquo s future shipbuilding capabilities. It combines ASC Shipbuilding&rsquo s in-depth shipbuilding knowledge and Air Warfare Destroyer platform delivery experience with the skills and efficiency of Civmec &ndash Australia&rsquo s largest, innovative and highly efficient steel fabricator for maritime and offshore applications. Forgacs is an integrated, multi-disciplined construction and engineering services provider to the maritime and defence infrastructure sectors in Australia. It has a rich history with an exceptional reputation, previously providing shipbuilding services to the RAN and some of the world&rsquo s leading original equipment manufacturers. Civmec acquired the Forgacs name, shipyard facilities and assets located in Newcastle, New South Wales, in early 2016. ASC Shipbuilding is Australia&rsquo s largest builder of steel-hulled warships, as lead shipbuilder in the Air Warfare Destroyer program. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of ASC Pty Ltd, which is owned by the Federal Government. ASC Shipbuilding has approximately 1200 full time personnel with expertise in naval platform design, engineering, supply chain and project management and highly skilled trade and technical personnel.     |
