Can anyone share the rules of delisting? I understand that six might suspend the trading if the public float is less than 10% From the sgx website, the public float is reflected as 26.46%, but when you add up the total share of all substantial shareholders, the total is 88.22%.  What is the definition of public float, and does it include all the substantial shareholders? What will happen if courts keep buyback until all substantial shareholders hold more than 90% and the form together as a single " concert party" that holds more than 90%? In this scenario, as it has crossed 90%, they can enforce compulsory aquisition of all shares. At what price will they buy the rest of the 10% since they will not even need to table any offer?       |

They certainly deserve a lot of credit (even Suharto) for having raised the standard of living of the people.  Certainly no mean feat, given the vast size of the country, scattered over search an enormous area.  Take palm oil for example.  Seemingly out of no where, they have grown the sector to be the largest producer in the world.  The rising middle income shd provide a good hinterland for coys like CA who have the foresight to invest there (instead of being stuck in over-milked spore).

Vested in Courts ... i believe the coming result will be better than last year, and yet the current price is lower comparing with last year. With delisting rumour, i think it' s worth a bet ... especially it' s near bottom, and trading below NAV. |

Indonesia's president Joko Widodo said on Wednesday the country's growth rate had stabilised around 5% in the first quarter, and the goal was to gradually raise the rate from these levels. Speaking at an investment conference in London, Widodo said:"I believe we have stabilised in the region of around 5% annual growth rate." He attributed this to infrastructure investment. In February, Widodo said he was very optimistic the country could achieve its 5.3% growth target after a slide of 4.8% last year. | ||||

RECAP FROM LAST RESULT .. TRADING WAY BELOW BOOK VALUE : 54 CENTS . P/E : ABOUT 7     Courts Asia net profit surges 253%   Higher sales from Malaysia and Indonesia sent second quarter net profit skyrocketing at Courts Asia Limited. Net profit for the three months ended Sept 30 surged 253 per cent compared to the same period last year, to S$6 million. Revenue increased 4.2 per cent to S$186.1 million. Sales in Malaysia, which contributed to 35 per cent of the group' s total sales in the second quarter, rose 27 per cent (in Malaysian Ringgit) compared to last year, mainly due to bulk sales for digital products, Courts said in a statement. Courts sells furniture and electrical and IT products. |

yes i know. majority own by PE ops.. indonesia prefer to pay cash instead of taking installment unlike malaysia. (could be right or wrong, asked my helpers on this) . that why they only spend if they have it which explain low growth. Let see  how the next quarter results The flagship Courts Megastore in BSD City as well as a smaller Courts store in Bintaro, both of which are in Indonesia, opened in January 2016.

Their indo ops started from a very low base so even a " high" growth still make up a very small % of their revenue.  It has been more than a year since they re-enter the Indonesia but revenue has been flat at about $3mil per quarter.  That' s bascially no growth for over a year.  If one full year is not enough to understand the consumer habit of Indonesians, then how long are they looking at?  Basically the mass of the indonesian does not have the type of spending power that Courts is looking for. Anyway, they are likely to take it private if the price can go lower.  Actually it is a shame in our SG market that company like Court doesnt get noticed.  But knowing that PE owed over 70% of the company, not fund will want to mettle with it becos they have little to no influence over Courts with the PE in total control of " everything" .  The evidence is so obvious with their other shareholders totally helpless. Anyway, beware of this coy, with its PE ops behind it.

List high delist low is the most legatimate short becos it is like sell high and later (much much later) buy low. Don' t expect explosive growth coming from Indonesia.
