I think the sale of its HDD business for US $ 50 million, in which BRD will post slightly above US$ 10 million disposal gain, will mean a one time gain. However, this is a uptrend company. The 9 months profit equals $ 10 million which translates to 2.13 cents. The top and bottom lines looks good. It will report the best profits for years. | ||||

Sale of HDD is one of the event, whether it will be completed by end Dec 20 is not that eventful to me.. they may need more time as they have said that they hired a Valuer for this transaction.. what comes as a surprise is the announcement yesterday regarding the claims.. they initially accrued for a compensation amount which is far higher (a few SGD millions) than the final settlement amount.. this write back will impact the P/L positively..I?m quite surprised with the low amount they able to reach with the said plaintiff..well done..

Broadway Industrial had initially planned to execute the sale and purchase agreement by Nov 15 and to complete the sale by Dec 30.

Likely compiling the announcement on sale of HDD..together with positive announcement yesterday regarding the claims which will have positive impact to the P/L for the year ending 31/12/2020..looking at 9 months P/L, this is a no brainer.. easily 18 series and 20 is in sight..DYODD as always.. | ||||
