May 25 (Reuters) - China' s coking coal futures prices surged by ​ nearly 8% to &zwnj hit their daily upper limits after a deadly coal ​ mine accident in ​ a major coal production ⁠ hub sparked a wave ​ of stringent safety checks ​ across the region that tightened the supply outlook.

Eighty-two people  were ​ killed  in a gas ​ explosion at a coal mine &zwnj in ⁠ China' s Shanxi province on Friday, the country' s deadliest mining accident since at ​ least ​ 2009.

The ⁠ most active coking coal contract on ​ the Dalian Commodity ​ Exchange ⁠ soared 7.97% to 1,266.5 yuan ($186.76) per metric ton.

The 53c purchased by GEO director is close to placement share price of 52.5c done by KGI to Pte investors in mid Apr. All under water atm but i believe they should be holding long term being guided by KGI with TP at $1.27.
Those who go in now are getting a better deal compare with these well connected investors.

Geo Energy Resources has raised gross proceeds of $18.4 million by placing out new shares to a group of investors.

Based on today' s closing price of 61.5 cents, which lifts the company' s market cap above $1 billion, these investors are already in the money as they subscribed for the new shares at 52.5 cents. The investors include Asdew Acquisitions, Ascend Open Master Fund, Icham Master Fund, Han Seng Juan, one of the two controlling shareholder of Centurion Corp...
