See the mood of Mr. Market first before tikam one to go with. shangli      ( Date: 20-Mar-2019 23:27) Posted: Bro and sis, i also change my trading style a bit now, maybe I&rsquo m getting old already, therefore my stamina of fast in fast out is fading.  For me, I prefer higher profits margin, eg today I bought ste 3.74, if I want to get out 3.76 I can easily exit, but I more prefer exit at 3.77-3.79.  If happen i stuck, I will choose to hold and hope the stock rebound. The benefits of hold is, normally the stock will rebound just like uob drop to 24.7x and rebound to 25.5x. But the danger of hold is, if happen uob drop further to 24.2x level, my position is suffer more than $1.20 loss. Therefore I still need to refine my trading style that cope with my emotion.    what bro marko said also correct, cut loss too often also cannot, loon too much too long also will make us pokai. So we must strike something in between. But this balance I think is ever changing, if during normal time like now, hold is ok, but if during extreme market moment like market crash, cut still the best option.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Wa bro you really did a good study, now I know only sex and wilmar is the two that are SCS.  for loon or cut, for long position, especially those with good dividend like banks and reits, it is still boil down to individual preference and trading method. So this one I leave it to you. In fact I also loon uob for weeks before I let go at breakeven point. but, if the position is short, then it is different, if one refuse to cover back say capitaland or ste, the coming dividend can Knock you out, it is more than 10 cents or roughly 3%. So like it or not, one must buy back before xd, again, shorting is for very short term gain or loss, a specific % must be set for cut loss, Or short only when xd is at least eg 45 days away. So it is the combination of % to cut loss and how far away from xd date. Clear example is those that change from long to short capitaland, so now what is the outcome? i think they have already cut loss capitaland, they just never inform nia. anyway, i suggest you  cut loss certain counter whenever they pullback quite sharp like cct, or can  reverse positon  to long it, this is also a way to hedge your overall portfolio,  unless you think cct can go back below your short price. can or not is your feeling to decide. from what i see, all 4M after pullback will rebound, and still stay at the same level unmove. bro your money your call, decision solely on you

I personally do not believe in cut simply to cut at the first sign of trouble... Like that very shiong for the wallet... There is a hard balance to maintain loon or to cut... Excessive cutting will slowly bleed u out... Cut too late will create a one time mini bomb... So not easy Is the bottom line... I am not over trading.. Just dun want to transfer my original capital fund from bank.. As I only kept the profits inside ig acct... I had withdrawn almost all my pervious profits... So what I am trading is with 80% of previous profits and 20% original capital.... Cut all now and I lost about 20% of my previous accumulated profits...... But just want to point Reits should not be treated as SCS as they have regular quarterly dividend which give it a limited time frame to move and considered less risk due to the heavily assets back evaluation... So 4M or any Reits should not be SCS..
