Where can we find the Oceanus canned abalone? Very delicious when you steamed them. Hope they sell more of these products. Someone was suggesting to Oceanus to farm oysters. Oysters are also expensive. |

Any arrangement made to visit the farm yet? They need at least 15 persons, I heard. You need to pay for your own lodging. Only free for student internship to learn from Oceanus. Recent batches of students from NUS & Nanyang have already been in the farms helping out. This is smart of the Company to get some ideas from young people, esp of higher learnings.

A Global Research PowerhouseNTU has in recent years positioned itself firmly at the forefront of strategic research in Singapore, winning a growing number of key competitive grants for its projects. Sustainability research accounts for the largest proportion of grants won over the years. With about S$1.3 billion for sustainability research, NTU is making a name globally in this area. Its broad range of &ldquo green&rdquo projects covers clean water, environmental engineering, energy and earth sciences. Bearing testament to its research capabilities and the relevance of its research, the university&rsquo s competitive research funding has multiplied manifold in the past five years. From 2005 to 2013, NTU won more than S$3.17 billion in competitive research funding. These awards include S$270 million from the Singapore government for two Research Centres of Excellence, the Earth Observatory of Singapore and Singapore Centre on Environmental Life Sciences Engineering, reaffirming NTU&rsquo s leadership in the earth sciences and environmental engineering. NTU has consistently demonstrated its research edge since the inaugural Competitive Research Programme grant call in April 2007. Reflecting its strengths in urban sustainability, in 2010, four of its research projects won the lion&rsquo s share of awarded grants &ndash up to S$40 million &ndash from the National Research Foundation following its fifth call for proposals on &ldquo Sustainable Urban Systems&rdquo . Only five out of the 68 proposals received under the Competitive Research Programme were recommended and selected for funding. Oceanus Group has signed an umbrella MOU for research collaboration in the following possible areas :

When was it? I also thought they ever made profit, that was why I bought several years ago. But now sold half already. Heard recently they go Chinese govt compensation of $182 million. How do they intend to use this money, anyone know about this? Also I have some lots left and was thinking of selling away. Any advice?

cash profit is diff between cash payment and receipts book profit also take in income not earn and expenses not paid on accrual basis. So based on what i read, most important is cash profit to see if the company is healthy or not.

I check already. Initial few yrs were book profit only. Than after loss all the way.. This time, first time is real profit. Fingers cross!

Yes, it is true that the profit for the Q1 is the first profit eversince Oceanus was listed. In other words, the new CEO really has the quality. Furthermore they are going to have the books professionally (legally) cleaned up. Reduce the liabilities and further enhance shareholders' value. Remove itself from the watchlist by this year. All this come from the horse' s mouth.

During our company&rsquo s Annual General Meeting on 18 May 2017, Peter Koh, our CEO presented our report card from 2015 to 2017. We are please to announce that we have delivered what we promised in FY2015 and FY2016, and we are on track for FY2017. More good news to come! The above sentence is key - MORE GOOD NEWS TO COME. I think they might announce some corporate action soon. |
