guess we can't blame these stall holders for the smaller pratas and the higher food costs the land lords are the real culprits

Ya... and if you noticed, the Pratas also became smaller. But it's not only Pratas that are expensive... practically all foods are expensive. But the stall-holders also need to make a living... how to make a decent living when rentals and other costs are so very high? So the stall-holders and the people both suffer together.

these days, good and affordable prata are not easy to come by 1 kosong will cost you 80-90 cts a pcs and you may need to have 4-5 pcs for a decent meal.....compare to 1 pkt nasi lemak w/ add-on rice @ $2.50 | ||||

The 2 seafood restaurants have already closed, I used to go there... But not sure whether the Prata shop is also closed. The Prata shop does not cause any obstruction, as few of their customers are motorists, unlike expensive seafood restaurants. It's such a pity that after 20 years(?) existence there, they are forced to close down, very sad case. |

I think still around. soon will be gone due to parking/traffic obstruction issue along the main road.. the famous seafood rstn a few units away will also hv to go.

No not that one... it's the one in front of the junction as you come out from Serangoon Garden way into YCK Road. It's a nice place for Pratas and a chat... I don't think the residents mind it to be there as, they are not as heavily patronised as seafood restaurants, so no problems. It's very sad if they have to go too, so sad. I think they should reconsider letting them carry on...

See $1.00?? this is just anyhow saying without doing some study of NOL business. May be this is a scam to full people to sell. Becareful of the posting in this Forum. Many people got burnt by just blind follow the comments. I find it is a waist of time to follow, rather do your own research and study is better.
