From an investingnote forummer: Maybe its finally time for Jiutian to break 0.090 and go parabolic, they have failed to stay above 0.090 3-4 times. But with cash and cash equivalents at 0.090 after Q1 2022, i think the market cant ignore this. What do you think? |

2 key catalysts for 2H 2022 for Jiutian in my view: A) New factory approval that will allow optimization of its key asset product mix. They submitted this in May 2021 to authorities for approval and 9-12 months for testing and approval process in view of environmental regulatory concerns will mean high probability this will be greenlighted this year. Certainly with their largest shareholder being a state owned entity, I dont see why there new expansion plans will not be greenlit. B)Dividends potentially 13% for May (even though final dividend was a disappointing 0.0012 for last FY) as an additional interim dividend after AGM approval. This is mentioned by CIMB. We shall see if this actually materialises. C) DMF prices have retreated from 18k to 14k but still remain highly profitable even with methanol prices at 3-3.5k levels. Anything above 3k spread between DMF and methanol is a profit. D) Russia-Ukraine war risks seem to be slowly fading away, and all fed interest rate hikes seem to have been priced in for now. Any other thoughts? Do share. I' m slowly buying in as well at current levels. |

Think shorties aso not dare touch. S-chips from cina, hard to trust, otherwise price wd hv shot up with huge net free cash as u noticed. See wat happened to China Hongxing, delisted, investors get nothing, lost millions. Their star biz performer ERKE disappeared to someone else. JT made huge profit 3.3c, final div only 0.12c, so if don reward shhdrs, reward who lah? Cina laws differnt wan.

This penny stock not on the shortseller list. But share price very depress as company fundamentally strong and profitable. Has reported excellent Q4 and 2021 results with $148.2M net free cash and PE 2.49 Most s-chips have recovered. Hope Jiutian will be next to move up. |

CIMB: Jiutian Chemical Group Ltd &ndash ADD TP $0.15A high-octane performance■ Juitian posted a record core net profit of Rmb430m (+148% yoy) in FY21, above our expectations on stronger-than-expected DMF and MA ASPs. ■ DMF prices have continued their uptrend YTD to reach Rmb16k/ton in Feb 2022 we expect prices to remain elevated in 1H22F. ■ We expect 1.1Scts DPS for FY22F (13% yield), front-loaded with May&rsquo s 1Q22 results announcement. Net cash is now 90% of market cap. Reiterate Add. FY21 core net profit at a record high on surging ASPsReversing a one-off loan impairment to an associate of Rmb126m (as flagged in Jiutian&rsquo s Nov 2021 announcement), 4Q21 core net profit surged to a record Rmb213m (+274% qoq, +147% yoy). FY21 core net profit was boosted to Rmb430m (+148% yoy), helped by stronger profit spreads as ASPs of both methylamine (MA, +103% yoy) and dimethylformamide (DMF, +57% yoy) continued to trend higher, especially in 4Q21. FY21 core net profit was above expectations, at 124% of our forecast. More dividends likely to be declared in May 2022Jiutian proposed a final DPS of 0.12 Scts, bringing FY21 total DPS to 0.47 Scts (c.6% dividend yield). We understand that the dividends declared by Jiutian in FY21 are for profits made by its Chinese subsidiary in FY20 (representing c.24% dividend payout). As with last year&rsquo s practice, we expect an interim dividend to be declared in May 2022, alongside 1Q22F results announcement (given the need for its China OpCo to first approve and distribute dividends to SG listco in its AGM). Based on 20% dividend payout assumption, we expect 1.1Scts dividend to be declared for FY22F, implying c.13% yield. DMF prices remains firm in 1Q22FWhile DMF ASPs eased slightly in Nov-Dec 21, prices have since resumed their uptrend in Jan 2022 on the back of strong downstream demand and tight supply, in our view. According to 100ppi.com, DMF prices remain elevated at Rmb16k/ton as of 27 Feb 22 (vs. c.Rmb10k/ton in Feb 21). We expect DMF prices to remain elevated, as new industry capacity additions are likely to only be introduced in 2H22F. We raise our FY22F EPS by 8% due to higher ASP assumptions. While production volumes in 1Q22F were slightly impacted by Covid-related disruptions and Chinese New Year holidays, we expect net profit for the quarter to show continued yoy growth. Net cash now at c.90% of market cap Reiterate AddJiutian&rsquo s FY21 net cash of Rmb694m forms c.90% of its current market cap. Combined with strong FCF generation, we expect strong dividends in FY22F as the group continues to benefit from the favourable industry cycle in 1H22F.
