Ah...if you sell boneless chicken is $4 a plate. somemore the bones can make soup can sell for $0.50. if you sell chicken with bones is $3.20 a plate...

Player who see chart will tell u the 2 days selling at 328-330 is the distribution by the bb. they always like to horse behind cannon. after everything happen then use chart to tell u event. | ||||

Its possible, but can only be confirmed by statements by the 2 parties. MFLEX is stil part of the UEL group. So far, all mum without details. Also did you guys notice how the info was already out before official announcement? 1. Bloomberg ran a headline ' OCBC to allow talks to lapse...' on 13th Friday before 8pm 2. ST published the story on Saturday -- means they had info on Friday as well 3. OCBC/GE officially announced on SGX ST on Saturday 14th Sat at 10am. .... As usual...we are always the last to know...

My guess is that Char was asked to buy the whole thing, or wait until UE sold over piecemeal, and then Char can go compete with others for the part that he wanted. I think Char wanted somethings specifically, but does not want to spend money of unwanted stuff and waste time selling those. |

I would be laughing if UE really drop below $2.80 tomorrow. No, I didn' t short it. But I would be happy to pick up the bargain before it is gone for good. However, I don' t think it will materialise. The majority shareholders would not be so stupid to allow potential suitors to buy cheaply. |

Yep, the CFD counters say the same thing. If Bbs were in action, they would have shorted big time when they leave. Bb theory is out I think. UE is still attractive. It just swallowed a big fish and had problems digesting it. If you look back at the old posts, there is that China property piece that seems to be worth a lot more than is recorded in the books (speculation during Wearnes time before it was aggressively taken over by UE). UE took over this property when it absorbed Wearnes together with the debts and all. Then it stripped off Wearnes assets one by one and still in the process of doing so. More than 1 bln investment properties waiting to sell if you look at UE' s assets in the latest balance sheet. We must remember UE is not in trouble, it is viable and has good commercial properties that are doing very well. The knee jerk reaction is inevitable, all really depends on whether there is a Part 2. Part 1 Ah Chai wins. Now is the time for him to collect (if UE price falls) and come back for Part 2 if he is really after the co. He spent 6 mths studying UE, probably knows the inside out on finance, property valuation, etc. The second optimistic view is that OUE or other bidders may come in. The OUE interest was reported in ST, not a rumour at all, can look up Sat papers. Price would likely decline tomorrow and find a new equilibrium. Suggest to clear out and come back again for Part 2.

Simply check the sgx marked short sell orders for the entire periods including the two times it fell to near 3, tell me if you see a lot of short sell volume on those days. What, 30 lots short sold against total transaction volume of averaged 8000 lots. Ask yourself why.

Din mean to spread any rumour.
real truth will be seen tomorrow when it trades. If above $3, means this is quite probable. if below $3, means its prob just beer talk. from the px action in the last 14 days, i believe there is a twist to this tale...else it would have traded well below $3 by the time the offer lapsed. We are all small frys... The bbs know this well in advance and would have exited already. There is no way retailers could have pushed up the stock from 297 to 328 in the past few days....has to be bbs. No doubt there will be a knee jerk reaction. that will give me a signal to buy more or cut. Any ways..enjoy ur sunday!
