I' ve thrown away the data for S.Riady' s sales of its food & food courts business. The first is Auric Pacific, the other is Food Junction. The first, you just distribute food like SCS butter & he sold it to a swiss co. for $220.8m & the other to Breadtalk for $80m .... Both were not capital-intensive business at all. I remember if you go by nav, he made more than a hundred million. wyeo. |

I' ve written that Oue has turned the 4 lowest level of Mandarin Orchard into Mandarin Gallery. The car-parks were then valued at 225m but its value has since more than doubled. Similarly, if you run through the latest AR, you will notice the same for the other two ppties at 1 Raffles Place & Oue Downtown. The 6-storeys mall with a 262-metre frontage facing Shenton Way displaying the shops' wares, I should say the longest in that area. The 6-storeys mall at Raffles after the latest revamp caters to those working, living & staying in the surrounding offices, residential developments & hotels. And S.Riady & his team have taken Oue into the restaurant business in sg & hk. I remember S. Riady making millions by selling his food & food court businesses. The sales did not go by net profit but by ebitda. wyeo. |

I haven' t finished reading its AR out today. Its lead independent director, SB Ann is a consultant at Drew & Napier & principally in merger & acquisitions. The other non-executive director, Kin Chan, a substantial shareholder is a scholar of Wharton School ..The Letter to shareholders which isn' t the norm asked shareholders to continue giving it a mandate to do Oue buybacks for its benefits shareholders at this April' s AGM. S. Riady' s shares have gone up to 70.3% & Oue' s nav can go up to 4.59 from 4.25 from sharebuybacks - example. The Letter ends with talk about the take-over code. Pse do your due diligence & don' t rush into it. wyeo. | ||||

Taking it private will be quite impossible for Lippo Gp consider their current situation. However, mgmt just have to do a " SCI/CapL demerger" , I' m sure price will be back to $2 as it' s v under value.

Checking some of its ppties' value. Mandarin Gallery: fv $493m AR ' 19, formerly a carpk fv $225m AR' 08. Mandarin Orchard: fv $1.228m OueCR 3Q' 20, AR' 08 fv $780m. It bought Crowne P.Changi Airport at $299.5m in 2011. Fair value in Annual Report ' 19 $497m. wyeo. |

Buying back 276m at $1.39 = $383m should be no problem to it presently. After selling US Bank Tower & 50% of Oue Bayfront, it has about $1.1b in cash. wyeo. | ||||

Replies to lesgha & antifragile. Oue' s latest nav at Dec.' 20 is $4.21. Its share price is 1.21. A few days ago, BT says its discount is the biggest among sg ppty stocks amidst a flurry of ppty stock delisting. Its public shares has about 276m. If it delists at 15% premium to 1.21, the offer 1.39. Since it keeps buying back its shares, one can assume that its nav is good. It stands to gain 4.21 - 1.39 x 276 = $778m if it delists. wyeo. | ||||
