Means PCRD holding more and more PCCW shares... Meaning NAV increases ....more n more valuable... We hold a few lot. Tycoon Rich ard Li hold millions lots....

I think PCCW will surely do a M & A in the near future. That is the only way to expand.
I dont think RL wants to get out of PCCW, after it had braved the storms many years ago and come so strong. Thus if he doesnt want to let go PCCW, means he will make it bigger. And the only way for Telcos nowadays is : M & A But if PCCW goes for M & A, I am not sure by then PCRD already privatized by him or still keep listed in Singapore for only reasons only he knows. I think the dividends to PCRD from HKT and PCCW will be used to exchange for PCCW scrips again, instead of giving out as cash dividends. Still it only makes PCRD more valuable. |

HKT full year results are indeed outstanding. Cost synergies of CSL integrating into HKT is underpinning its year-on-year earnings improvements.
It is surprising that HKT and PCCW will have completed reporting their earnings by 16 Jan. The past few years reporting schedule are on 2nd week of Feb. |

HKT just released financial results. Profits increased, profit margin increased.
Based on PCRD's stake in PCCW and PCCW 's stake in HKT, PCRD is entitled to more than S$65 mil in dividends payout from HKT. (Maybe more. I only did a mental estimated calculations) Fact is : HKT is in good hands. Profit margins increase. Stable income from HK and Macau.

1. I am not richard li, so i wont know when he is ready
2. But i think anything below 38.5 cents is A BUY 3. Results out soon...sooner or later they need to decide what to do with PCCW +HKT dividends allocation for PCRD 4. So i guess soon....some corp. actions by Richard Li 5. The only way to grow is M & A. Hope PCCW gets involved with TPG for the market here too. Or M & A with others in other markets. Tencent and PCCW are walking very closely. Dont discount China Unicom ans Spain Telefonica.

And oh...1 more thing, quite important is :
HKD has appreciated against SGD by about +10%. 1 SGD : 6 HKD 1 SGD : 5.4 HKD now Means ? PCRD owns more than 20% PCCW and also HKT. If i use SGD change to HKD to buy PCCW and HKT, more expensive. But if I use HKD to change to SGD to buy PCRD, U can buy and own more PCCW and HKT. Moreover, PCRD is an investment holding company, receiving PCCW and HKT dividends as Revenue. PCCW and HKT will give PCRD dividends in HKD. When PCRD convert this HKD dividends into SGD to give out to Spore PCRD shareholders as dividends, theoritically will receive more SGD (+10% more).

You know everyone is talking about e commerce . The rise of e commerce. Those apps blah blah blah.
But few realize e commerce depend so much on Telcos. Without Telco, with a mobile phone, what is Alipay ? Nothing. If Mobile Phone is the Shop, then Telco is the Landlord. Taobao is just like a trendy bakery selling buns like hot cakes. See the picture ? I guess Li Kashing saw the big picture. Which explains why he was willing to spend billions to acquire O2. Or why AK is the No.1 or No.2 tycoon in Malaysia (all becos of Telco) or why malaysian - turned australian founder of TPG rose to the ranks of billionaire club (all becos of Telco) . |
