thanks for your sharing and well agreed. 67c is the 200d moving average so hopefully it holds, in fact, I don' t think it has ever breached the 200d since listing (though it is only recently that it has 200d of trading days to compute the moving average. the almost debt free balance sheet and net cash of $94m is ~25% of the company' s market cap so this gives an ex-cash PE of ~10x FY19. apart from the local growth story, it also exports the food court concept overseas with Macau being their first blueprint geography, with 2nd food court scheduled to open this year. the expansion is well funded by internal resources, evidenced in the group' s ability to generate strong positive operating cash flow (1QFY19: ~$25m). with the dividend payout ratio of 50%, and assuming a conservative 10% growth in EPS (1QFY19 grew 12.3% YoY) from FY18, it should give a yield of ~3.8% with current price. my 2 cents worth: - valuation gap from peers (DBS last initiated at 66c to highlight this point) - value proposition: growth while supported by dividend so I do agree that it makes for a good long-term investment play. would be grateful if others can similarly share their perspectives |

I am more of a dividends growth investor and I prefer to start with consumer stocks. In terms of Food courts Koufu has a Lowest valuation compares to BreadTalk and kimley. I feel that Koufu is cash rich and has minimal debt. It also only have a payout ratio of 50 percent. Koufu also has expansions plan, so in terms of growth I am quite positive. As of now the price is $0.67 so I am down like 0.74 percent but I still think Koufu in the Long run is still a very good company. Last but not least, I think Koufu has a relative good branding basically everyone in Singapore knows about this companies. The management also has shares buys back when the price drops recently. That?s why I bought . | ||||

fundamentals of KF are good though - defensive sector and backed by strong cash flow generation. steady growth (locally and overseas in Macau) while supported by dividends makes a good LT play | ||||

From UOB-KH Koufu Group &ndash BUY (Yeo Hai Wei & John Cheong) TP = $0.95 ?h Defensive cash cow backed by strong brands and leading market position. Koufu runs highly defensive food court and coffee shop businesses, and is focused on providing competitively priced meals transacted in cash terms. Its outlet and mall management business has seen consistently high occupancy of at least 93% in the last three years. Koufu intends to distribute at least 50% of its profits for 2018 and 2019, which is sustainable given strong cash flow generation.
