Well presented Jokerlive, thks! You can see the rubber potential. Thailand is quick to roll out the RCEP initiatives so probably will change the rubber to gloves equation soon. Rubber revenue is intertwined with gloves and current market sentiment is sensitive to vaccines. Technically is bearish and once $1.09 is breached it may retest $1 and below so a good stomach is require. Lets see if vaccine sentiment will normalize with rubber at current price range. Btw, they do not indicate the absolute net profit of rubber and gloves separately. There is a flexibility over other pure gloves players by accounting the gross profit of rubber and gloves to give a net profit of 2084.4m baht (hybrid net) since the raw materials can be procured as upstream to downstream according to rubber prices. Correct me if i am wrong.

Let' s see this vaccine will backfire or not ! if vaccine is proven , I still believe their rubber sales will also goes up tremendously. Seems that their rubber business is lagging behind now ( due to covid ) looks like I will stay again for another 3 months to see how is the situation

Cannot be helped if market sentiment is unfavorable now. Frankly vaccine is not the magic pill that can get rid of Covid-19 fast. If it is effective it slows down the spread and lowers the number of new cases. Sadly the number of new cases is rising exponentially in many countries (2nd wave,3rd wave and 4th wave?) and I think it will take till October 2021 to see covid-19 gone in most countries. Still going to take a long time even with vaccine because there are nearly 16 million active cases worldwide and there are daily increase in new cases. Vaccine companies themselves cannot answer (1) how long can the vaccine protection last? (2) any side effects? (3) vaccinated person may be protected but can they still be carriers of the virus?. So for share prices of glove counters, there is still possibility of going up. As they say anything can happen. I am cautiously optimistic and believe it won' t go to pre-covid prices. | ||||

Hi all longist, please have faith as we are starting to see a huge demand from China in their rubber consumptions. Part of the reason is also due to the hyping up of electric vehicles to be full integrated into whole of China by 2025. By then, we would start seeing other countries hoping on board the same EV hype as well and definitely tyres and rubber parts for vehicles will definitely increase (Imagine the amount of gasoline cars we have in this world now, and think of the amount that needs to be fully replaced by then for the entire globe if every country by then starts implementing laws for Electric vehicles to be implemented). That is enough for a huge incraese for rubber parts (and this is not even including other non tyre/rubber components). 40++% revenue currently off china while they are recovering from the covid period already, will definitely see an increase sooner or later especially with the EV hype in China now. Other countries are still recovering, and when they recover, definitely will return to post covid rubber demand level. Europe gov also say they wanna start implementing EVs, start up constuction sites to develop ev vehicles, definitely will also need more rubber and all also. Look at 1st pic, natural rubber demand is expected to go higher and higher while supply is definitely going lower and and lower, which is expected to result in a deficit of rubber supply in the future (though quite far ahead). 2nd pic shows that Thailand themselves are already a major producer in the Rubber sector, no other country come close to that huge 30+ % level. You can see where we are going when the supply gets lesser and lesser (rubber prices go higher and higher) With that, look at the 3rd picture. price adjustments for gloves and all definitely will go higher as we see a shortage in gloves worldwide. Look at picture pic 4, for all PPE products in 2018, Gloves already account for 25% worldwide. Now we talking about 2020 where this virus thing happened. Even with vaccines and all, people are definitely going to start being extra cautious about how they approach health and safety. In fact, we can start seeing a huge demand from medical facilities and gov stockpiling more PPE products in the later years to prep for another event like this. And this is revealed by our Sri Trang to jump on this " opportunity" through their gloves expansion plan on their facilities. Many of you are still worried about this company regarding their " normal rubber business outlook" . Take a look at Picture 5, we see in 9m2020 that utilisation rate of their rubber operation facilities for this nine months only at 52%.Why? Cus of trade war and all the virus going on, business was quite affected that' s why. So in the near future when everything resolves, wont you expect the utilisation rate to increase? (Meaning more sales) Look at Picture 6 on recovery of natural rubber consumption by country. We see china being about 46% of overall rubber sales because china recover quite well from the virus period alr right? On top of the EV hype and all that shit, and soon to possibly curb trade war regulations with our new US president Biden. Now if we look at other countries, we realise something, they are still recovering, which means that Sri trang definitely haven' t reach its peak of the business yet in terms of revenue and all the sales here and there. So ya here just my take, not tryna convince all of you, but at least look and study instead of tryna panic sell and lose money and shit. Least you guys could do if yall already losing money would be to average down. No doubt this company will have good future prospects. Everyth on the news currently is just hysteria invoking, just like myopic people who can' t see that far away tryna run because of some " news" that sparked them. View the world of investing like Warren Buffet and Miller. Value isn' t seen in present or past, look ahead at it' s future prospect to see if it' s cheap compared with the rest of the companies out there. |

"He is vested a lot as he mentioned before" Nothing to hide, as I am fully loaded to the brim as I was from the rubber fraternity for over almost 30 years. I say one more time, no virus pandemic can kill the rubber mkt as evident during the H1N1 period between Jan 2009 and August 2010, and STA rallied on the back of global rubber prices rally as well. I am now seeing the same scenario playing itself out after this recent rubber correction. Vaccine news is only a short term dampener but not all out to cause the collapse of STA as expounded by a certain gentleman penning in SJ past few days. Earnings will always prevail over a period of time resulting in low valuation making STA dirt cheap which is being reflected in its price now due to virus news causing irrational selling in STA recently besides the rubber correction. As such, I know the very reason for the mkt short term correction and I need fear the short term correction which is just noise to me. As STA is both a gloves and rubber play, no issue for me to remain invested as STGT for the next few quarters as STA will realise humongous profits from STGT with 56% to STA coffers. Besides once the rubber correction is over, rubber price will rally to higher high above the previous recent high a matter of time of TSR Nearby Sicom of 180.4 usctskg due to consumers reaction to success of vaccine news but the demand for gloves will not peter any time soon as expounded by the King Of Nitrite Haratlega Boss that he is already seeing forward sales orders booked as far as 2023 due to gloves shortage. Who knows better then?? Harta's Boss or Banks' analysts?? The call is in your court!!! As usual, due diligence is warranted. | ||||
