Brokers' eyes are on the mkts all the time, yet we get left out in the cold while a hot stock flies off. Any of you fortunate to have on-the-ball brokers who alert u to these stocks early for u to make good profits? Why we pay commission to our brokers yet they r so passive? Why???

The days of investing in a good coy are gone.  The business nowadays for a company is make or close or sold. The big price movement from $29 to $9 is also very common nowadays. Who dare to buy and keep creative at $4?  Will it go up to $6 or will it go down to $1?  Chances of going down is 90% higher than going up. All electronic gadgets are meant to be use and throw.  It is wasting a company resources to make a product so superb because the same product can be manufactured by so many other players. The problem with technology company is there is no new product breakthrough.  All products are just changing skin but the content remains the same. TV, PC, Radio, HiFi and etc have been the same for 20 to 30 years.  There' s no breakthrough. Now every business is trying to play with the phone for business.  But I don' t see any breakthrough. A technology breakthrough is e.g. when there is no DVD and somebody invented the DVD.    I don' t see any product which is really new.  A breakthrough product is for example a TV which not only produces pictures and sound but also smell.  This is a technology breakthrough and can help to simulate the market for another 10 years. So I will forget buying such technology stocks.  You will lose more than you win either by speculation or investment. Good luck.
