TLDR Version:  I continue to remain invested in ICG despite a high PE ratio at the moment. If you are interested to know why I feel this way, do read on. This is an abridged version of my actual post in what I posted on my sharing platform.

International Cement Group&rsquo s EPS / FYs Profit

FY2018: 0.0029 / 16.39m  
FY2019: 0.0028 / 15.73m
FY2020: 0.0016 / 9.010m (Without COVID, it should be 0.0034 / 19.7m)
FY2021: 0.0052 / 30.00m (Return to Normalcy, Charles&rsquo estimation based on 2 cement plants and limited forex losses due to oil prices)

International Cement Group&rsquo s PE Ratio (Share Price: $0.059)

FY2018:   20.3
FY2019:   21.0
FY2020:   36.8   (Without COVID, it should be 0.059/0.0034 = 17.35)
FY2021: 0.130/0.0052 = 25.0   (Return to Normalcy)

I will not deny that the PE ratio is higher than the average of 12-15. Investors may find ICG to be overvalued. However, the PE ratio only considers the present time. As an investor, a present 20-30 PE ratio will thus inform me that investors expect higher growth from the company as compared to the overall market. Also, once a company becomes more mature, it will grow more slowly, and the PE tends to decline. Thus, the present PE ratio reasonably suits ICG&rsquo s growth story, given that it is also still in the early stages of its growth.

Charles' preferred FA valuation of ICG: Price-to-earnings-to-growth ratio (PEG) &ndash PEG Ratio?
The price-to-earnings-to-growth ratio (PEG) ratio allows investors to calculate whether a stock' s price is overvalued or undervalued by analysing both today' s earnings and the expected growth rate for the company in the future.

International Cement Group&rsquo s PEG Ratio

FY2021: 25/{[(0.0052/0.0016) &ndash 1] x 100]} = 0.111 (Using actual FY2020&rsquo s EPS, below 1)
FY2021: 25/{[(0.0052/0.0034) &ndash 1] x 100]} = 0.439 (Using without covid-impacted FY2020&rsquo s EPS, below 1)

In theory, a PEG ratio value of 1 represents a perfect correlation between the company' s market value and its projected earnings growth. PEG ratios lower than 1 are generally considered favourable, suggesting the stock is undervalued. This is why I remain invested in ICG.
