Just some quick calculation.... if this continues... and if gold price increases throughout the year, even minimally because they were abl to achieve this profit even when the average price is less than 1200.... we can expect a 6-7cents eps at least? makes the current price very attractive to keep? views? |

In today' s news.. Cnmc chairman spoke about the possible further exploration of other gold mines in Asia and additionally they plan to diversify their earnings to planting palm ojl/ other commodities too.

Dividend is 0.59 cent so the theoretical knee jerk adjustment on Ex-Div day should be 1/2 to 1 cent down from previous close. But my expectation is the 1Q2016 earnings report will have a larger influence on the on-going price after reaction from Ex-Div settles down. Interesting their earnings report is one day (after market close) ahead of Ex-Div date - so on 11 May, price of CNMC will be interesting to watch when market reacts to company first quarter report card and ex-div. Those with postive feeling on CNMC probably should accumulate by 10 May and those who are wary or conservative should wait till 11 May to determine action. Just sharing.

There are 3 catalysts : 1. Increase in Gold Price ( Q1 result should show an increase in revenue and profit) 2. Increase in Production (2nd production commission in early Apr, Q2 result will show an increase in production) 3. Purchase of new mine (CNMC has set aside $50M MYR for the development of new mine) Past few days, there had been nett buy. Look like many have loaded and waiting for the push. |

Almost up 20 as of now, as data are revealing not as good as expected outcome from the govt.. Everyone will start coming for gold, especially in days in which seems gloomy. May it helps to push the gold-counters next week onwards, 10th may qtr result too.

I am hoping near term gold volatility, weak CNMC holders and shortists can push price down to 28 or less. Hope to be able to accumulate more with a 2 year horizon.
