IFA valuation is $3.60 -- so my best guess is OCBC wanted > $3.50 and Mr C wanted < $3.30  if Kepland is anything to go by, there are suitors for SG property counters, especirally since UE has done so much to strip its non-core biz to leave it as a pure property play. let the market decide whats the price. enjoy your weekend and Happy CNY in advance! cheers!

Chareon will already have sold his stake so question whether there are other suitors on the sidelines. But unless there is already one lining up, we shall see. It would be a slap on the face for Chareon, after all these song and dance, cant close a relatively simple deal. Also wonder whether people are thinking if there should not be a single non-Singaporean holding these historically important companies...rather sell to temasek or some other third party?
