Demon bro, i couldnt agree more to what u said. You have translated my thoughts into words well. I dont think its just singapore.  Other southeast asian countries are also facing this? Maybe u are referring to the western countries with better welfare benefits?

Thanks Demon bro for yur concern & prayers. I really hope my mum will spend her last days happy & less pain sufferings in the old home. Tml she will be discharged from hospital and fetch her home for one two days to pack up her tings & sunday  go old home. Has already been arranged thankfully with the help of my aunties, my mum' s sisters. My mum is someone who loves companion, so i guess  she  would  feel less lonely at the old home, as compared to being all alone at home because weekdays i left home  at 5am and home only  by  9pm. Hope she will get by well over there.

mr guava shushu, your golfing skills can fight martin kaymer? So, in your own assessment do you think hankore is cheaply valued now? Do you look at value or do yu look at the price? An expert said value is not reliable, we should look at the price. If we think  the price  is  low then buy.  I think he dont mean cheap value. Not sure exactly what he menat though.   |

Sorry Bro Spivvy. Was away playing golf yesterday and not looking at post. I can' t tell you what to buy. I can only share trading principles I learnt from many other wiser people. Buy at your own comfort level, buy companies you trust, buy when the price seems cheap to you. And most important of all - NEVER listen to people who give lobangs ! These are usually (not always granted) people who know no better than you. Or worst, they want you to do exactly what they are not doing so they can make money out of you. Look at the company, look at your money on hand that you can afford to set aside for a time, and look at the current price. Even good companies can be over-priced. That is why I tend to stay away from the big priced blue chips. They are already fairly valued. I only want cheaply valued not fairly valued. Just my own strategies I am sharing. Good luck and prayers for your mum.

to spivvy - wishing your mum all the best bro 珍 惜 眼 前 人 ! ---- on HanKore - there are any others who follow TA, it has always closed above or at VWAP for the past three trading days. despite some selling pressure from retail investors doing profit taking or cutting losses, the chart also reveals a bullish divergence trend so the sentiment remains positive.  before the run-up last Friday, HanKore' s trading was also rather muted though being supported when the selling pressure intensifies. at current price levels and excluding the CEI deal, HanKore remains undervalued compared to industry peers. as such, I personally feel that there is still speculative  and  fundamental  upside.  |

Sorry to learn of this Bro Spivvy. I think hospices are a much better environment for patient requiring palliative care but I' m not sure abt the costs. Can I suggest that you modify your home to be patient-friendly instead. Install a web cam so that you can monitor your mum while at work.  Get a  commode  for her so she doesn' t  need to  walk to the toilet. Place all her necessities within hand' s reach and get your neighbours to check in on her at  least once a day. I think this beats having to spend time in an unfamiliar  place.

Bro, I will pray for your mum and your family. Take care, and I advice you not to enter any position at this period of time with the frame of mind you' re in now. Don' t have to worry about HK.   It would not fall lower, if it does will only be briefly. Leave the market for a while and spend more time by your mum' s side.. |

Dear Spivvy,
My late aunt who I was taking care of back then was told of palliative care by the medical professionals due to her stage 4 cancer. Maybe you shovel talk the the doctor of the hospital with regards to palliative care instead of sending her to a old folks home. Just sharing

Singaporeans (local born ones) are living in a rat race environment. Majority has nothing to fall back on except the pigeon hole in the concrete jungle.   There is no opportunity to get rich quick here, unlike in the olden days when one can go right to the top even without paper qualifications. Times have changed and caring policies have given way to self-care system. That' s why the number of mental patience like didiseow has increased.  In other countries, advanced and not so advanced, they have social net to fall on when they grow older or could not work. The people have social security allowance to tie them through in times of unemployment and financial difficulties.   In Singapore we must fend for ourself and members of our immediate family when bad times fall on the family and members.

Thanks bro james. Tdy a v sad day for me. Have to send mum to old home soon as she wont be able to take care herself if alone at home. I have to work & cannot help her the entire time. Doc worried as she gets more serious will lack the strength and could fall down at hme if not careful. Went to take a look at the old home v kek sim. I saw senile, rowdy & desolate elderly all over the place, some sitting some lying on bed some toking to themselves some screaming for attention. First time i step into real life old home & its very different feeling than u see it on tv or movie. You can really feel the compelling atmosphere u wouldnt like to stay long there. Cant bear but i have no choice. Im the only child. Nobody else could have helped. I would definitely wont like to stay in an old home myself. I hope for this life is that i would never have to reach tat stage. Seeing my mum had to suffer from cancer slowly & landing in old home really painful.

I would narrow to 2 - deal done or extension. Dun think will be called off. Another possible scenerio is change in framework.. Price will drop if another extension. So, for price to move further, deal must be done on same framework or modified framework. Unless something regulatory or due negilence still in progress, why take so long?

3 possible scenarios in next 2 days: 1) Done deal 2) Discussion extend another month till 30th june 3) Deal call off 2 and 3 sure pull prices down again... Only David knows....
