What it meant is that if the contracts are renewed in March for example then probably you will see a not too good 2nd half just like 1st half. But if contracts are renewed recently then 2nd half should be good. How to know? When the parent company result comes out in 3q, you can roughly gauge. One might say never mind, if the contracts are not renewed, next year results should be very good when it is renewed next year....But who knows what the freight rates will be next year? Can the present freight rates be maintained???

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	No need for cold water to be splashed on anyone as its dyodd..between cash value of $0.70 and 1.2 times cash value of $0.84 it is a buy based strictly on the 1. Generous dividend payout record and 2. NAV of about $1.40 (in the past most shippers would be valued at about 0.8 NAV in good times which for Samu is about $1.10...so dyodd buy at cash or 1.2 cash, take profit at close to $1.10, collect dividends at about 10% per year..many old timers here who bought at $0.60 would have made many times over..Good luck to all who are vested

Main lines are struggling with costs associated with the longer transit routes, delay in schedules, mt repo etc. High freight rates cannot cover profitability with the volumes falling. Sharp drop in earnings. This explains why Samudera Indonesia's share price did not move..... Go look at the result and then consider if the share is worth a buy at this current price
