U guy may be interested in Hock Lian Seng too, this chip is getting better with every quater report. I bgth this at 25cents and waited for so ong before it start to move up. Really worth the wait, pay gd div every yrs too. at 40 cents it is still vy cheat, go check it out and do some homework here, dont delay, |

RE: Chip Eng Seng Based on 2014 Annual report, only 42% of COGS have been recognized to date for Junction 9/Nine Residence. Hence, 58% of profit for this project should be reflected in 2015 if CES manages to complete this project in time in Q4 2015.
My estimated total for J9/Nine Residence is ~21 cents. This implies that the remaining 12 cents ought to be recognized in 2015. - Construction income for 2015 ~ 4.5 cents. - investment properties ~ 1.5 cents. - Fulcrum (big question mark???) ~ 3 cents. Total estimated EPS for 2015 = ~ 21 cents. Hotel revaluation surplus = ~30 cents Hence, NAV by end of 2015 (i.e. Dec 2015) = ~ $1.60. ($1.60 is not RNAV but NAV) Based on current portfolio of ongoing and pipeline project (e.g. TM, Fernvale, Fulcrum, Doncaster, Perth, investment properties, construction income) RNAV > ~$2.0 |

Hi Vic, The price receded really fast. I cashed out a bit slow. It seems like its not just CES. CWT apparently had the same trend. 86 cents is a good reentry, assuming that the dividend is 4 cents next year. That gives a 4.65 dividend yield. \ Good point raised.

If the share price drops more than or less than the dividend amount at ex div date, this allows for arbitrage. There are research reports on it that u can find on the internet. :)

This is why this stock has been growing steadily over the last 4 yrs, from abt 30c to abt $1, chng kays notwithstanding. It' s not the type that chionged n dumped n died. It' s one that appreciates gradually n stays up. My story has been that I missed at 31c in Oct 2011 nd left it at that for a while. But last yr, I decided to have a re-look n re-entered at around 70c+. Still rewarding .... n will continue to be rewarding. I' m quite sure.

This is what I mean n this is the right strategy. I see a lot of stocks chased up after div announcements, but px fall below original pt before announcement. So, if someone had bought at, say, 92 or 93 wld still have been better off waiting for xd to pick up. N someone already holding at lower px wld be better off to sell at, say, 96 or 97 n buy back now n hold for next div announcement n aim to throw at the highest pt of the next up-cycle. Think this one cld move to > 1 within 12 mths. Alex hotel already TOP n will add quite a big chunk to NAV, VS land Downunder also sold already, Junction 9 + residence as good as completely sold as well, Fulcrum shd be pretty well received too upon re-launch, I think n Melbourn T progressing. Besides these, construction order backlog near 1 bil n property investment also on uptrend. Then u add the icing of a reasonable annual div to look forward to (think cld possibly be 6c again this coming yr) n u see lots of positives. One caveate though - must look at chng kay' s face first (sigh - sad).

If you look at this joker, westin1, ( hope you read here) and click there, his post are all chip eng seng and nothing else of other counter, shown his heart is very sour of other who make money here, He must have sold early or miss the thrain..hahaha. I seldom visit that losuy site. nothing much to read really.

Yes, if u are talking those who bought at 96c, and no if you are like me, vested since 40 and buy on every 20% to 30% up,, But those who bought at 96c recent may suffer awhile, i see this counter heading higher later. their this Q report is not that bad too.. Buy before u are like one valuebuddies call himself westin1, who are jeolous of other who make money here. LOL

Today 85.5. Moral of the story is never chase any stock for div. Always wait a few days after xd. Much cheaper. For those who bought > 92c what for? Get 6c, lose 6.5c.

if it' s fundamentals are good, just hold and don' t have worries. Stock markets are not rational, and some manipulation might be behind it, you' ll never know. But, what it is said, in the long run, it is a weighing machine. Just my humble opinion |
