I think is based on the comment from the singpost chairman that Kayhian analyst made the prediction of 4.4 cents. So many ppl expect a huge special dividend i think if really 4.4 cents, the share price will tank seriously. Therefore there is a risk there.

How calibre is this UOB KayHian analyst who thinks Singpost distribute 4.4c special dividend, n maintain same special dividend for 2026/2027..compare to Maybank KimEng analyst said : the stock currently trades way below his target price and a special dividend of " around SGD0.12-0.15/share" It may even be 17-20 cents/share? whoever is right, perhaps he could qualify for the next Singpost CEO! 😉 To all Singpost retail investors we hope or vote for bigger special dividend !! My hope is also for Singpost to sell Singpost center n distribute special dividend to loyal investors! or maybe privatise or sell Singpost to foreign company like what they did to NOL ! |

Kayhian says the special dividend may be 4.4 cents only leh. So many of u expect huge special dividend. IF really around 4 cents share price will drop right?  |

It' s a shame! With no one in Singapore is capable of running this overly protected company for so many years, it' s better to sell it of like NOL so that retail investors can get back its real value... maybe can sell at $1/share. I believe many foreign companies n even Institutions/hedge funds would like to bid for it. | ||||

Question/Comment 2A shareholder noted that while the proposed disposal would produce short-term gains for SingPost and shareholders, the Board may want to look at long-term strategic objectives. The Chairman agreed that the long-term strategic objectives should prevail over short-term gain. However, as presented in the presentation, SingPost&rsquo s shares has been undervalued in the past five years, even after the Australia business was acquired. In the Board&rsquo s view, having received unsolicited offers for the Australian business and having undergone an international competitive bid process, the Board was of the view that the proposed divestment would unlock value for shareholders and was in the best interests of shareholders. |

All this while I trade US markets and long SGX market but getting old and find it hard to stay up till late at night. Even sleep in the day don' t really ' recover' from the tireness. So recently started trading a bit of SGX stocks.

The BOD and the C suite quite hopless. Better to privatize than trudging along. Better reward those who were repsonsible of the Australia subsidiary acquisition, the only thing that it had done well compared to the bloodbath in prior acquisitions. Strategic Review, sold Aus susidiary.. where is the enhancement of shareholders value? Share buyback at this price which in the recent EGM said it was undervalued? Now more undervalued?
