Believe ah saw will keep on buying...but dont expect any big news in short term...company issued very few shares..so the potential is great if u can buy and hold and keep...maybe super and vicom.in.making...but be patient...invested and keep under pillow

Hougang coffee shop sold for 23millions....auric buy all food junctions share by paying extra 6.5millions...what a great deal...fj dont owe the property but paying so little to get somethings big..great...maybe auric will buy more food court in the near future....

Auric Pacific - SawMagic Begins to Shine

Privatisation offer for Food Junction. Auric Pacific has offered to take Food Junction private for SGD0.255 per share, 40.11% above the last transacted price and 34.1% above 12-month VWAP. Excluding a one-off impairment charge and restaurant losses in FY12, this values food courts segment at an ex-cash PER of just 4.8x. Auric will only need to fork out a net sum of SGD6.5m to take the remainder of Food Junction private (38.55% stake). We view this deal as highly attractive, and are positive that CEO Saw Phaik Hwa is transforming Auric Pacific one step at a time.

Clean-up of Auric began in 2012. Auric fully disposed a non-core high-interest lending business in May 2013. In 2010, Auric had purchased a 60% stake in a mezzanine loan of a residential project in Hunan, China, where it expected to receive interest at the rate of 15% p.a.. When the borrower stopped servicing the loan in Mar 2012, Auric managed to claw back its initial book value of SGD20.8m, and the investment was fully disposed of. Meanwhile, a new CEO had been appointed to look after its food operations and Sunshine Bakeries following with the departure of the CEO of Delifrance. Cost-wise, we find the 16.4% YoY decline in Auric’s administrative expenses in 1Q13, against a revenue increase of 2% YoY, encouraging.

Food Junction could become Auric’s earnings driver. Food Junction’s food courts are highly profitable. Net margins averaged 17.6% in the last five years, with a dip in FY12 from the closure of nonperforming outlets and opening of a new food court at Sembawang. The restaurant business however never fully recovered from the financial crisis in 2009. Today, Auric has 5 food court brands and over 10 restaurant brands in its stable in Singapore, China, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Valuations are cheap given its potential. Auric is trading at a historical PER of 10.8x and EV/EBITDA of 11x. We think this is cheap as it does not factor in the potential growth prospects after a possible restructuring of the restaurant business, and possibly a rationalization of its various F& B brands to build up economies of scale.

AGM at Mandarain Hotel 25April-The star is Ms Saw Phaik Hwa,extolled her marketing plan to bring back Auric to her heydays-she asked shareholders not to sell the shares-if not for the blackout period she would still buy at current price $1.28,someone asked will hit $1.80,she remarked more than that-Co explored Revolving Credit Term for readily use which is also way below bank's rate-she is clearly the right fix for Auric's core food and retail business especially with her " army" of new blood injected into the company.When asked why no analysts'coverage for Auric,she not keen as she wants to polish Auric up to its heydays before getting the analysts to be excited.She has 270,000 shares in Auric from May 1,2012 when she first joined till todate-She also shared her purchases of SMRT at 60cts and watched it shot to a high of $2.30 when her friends alreday sold off at 90cts and then regretted when SMRT never dropped to 90cts again,she qualifed baring unforseen circumstances eg another SARS,Auric should see more upside

All shareholders and proxy went home with a $30 Delifrance voucher ..not bad haha..in the past I understand they gave all their food products-Delifrance bread,Ovaltine,etc

FOOD Junction Holdings has reported a loss after tax of $6.9 million for the full year ended Dec 31, 2012, compared with a net profit of $0.9 million the previous year.

This was attributed to a $5 million impairment loss on intangible assets arising from the acquisition of Malones Holdings, operator of Malone's American Cafe, in October 2008 that has performed below expectations, and pre-operating costs of new F& B restaurants.

Auric Pacific must hold ..and will be rewarded..matter of time only..and co has paid millions in bringing Ms Saw who will spearhead retail operations having done exceptionally well in DFS and SMRT.The latter she was responsible for seeting up shops along the MRT's mall but rail operations she not that good but she assigned to his other juniors..she has a niche in retail only..she herself holds > 200lots in auric having joined in may 2010.Maybe can get some CNY angpao...I got mine cheap from 70cts to $1.08..those I bought at 1.14 I sold off at 1.34...so when auric dropped to 1.09-1.10 was still accumulating

This counter finally moved!!
High $1.205 today with vol too..thinly traded want to move very easy..Ms saw would certainly want this counter to achieve its heyday price $3-4 but maybe short term like $1.70-2.00 :cny6:
