https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psyllium Psyllium is mainly used as a dietary fiber, which is not absorbed by the small intestine. The purely mechanical action of psyllium mucilage is to absorb excess water while stimulating normal bowel elimination. Although its main use has been as a laxative, it is more appropriately termed a true dietary fiber and as such can help reduce the symptoms of both constipation and mild diarrhea. The laxative properties of psyllium are attributed to the fiber absorbing water and subsequently softening the stool. It is also one of the few laxatives that does not promote flatulence.[1] Psyllium is produced mainly for its mucilage content. The term mucilage describes a group of clear, colorless, gelling agents derived from plants. Mucilage obtained from psyllium comes from the seed coat and  obtained by mechanical milling (i.e. grinding) of the outer layer of the seed. Yield amounts to about 25% (by weight) of the total seed yield. Plantago-seed mucilage is often referred to as husk, or psyllium husk. The milled seed mucilage is a white fibrous material that is hydrophilic, meaning that its molecular structure causes it to attract and bind to water. Upon absorbing water, the clear, colorless, mucilaginous gel that forms increases in volume by tenfold or more.

Fibre Primvital seeds. https://fibreprimvital.co.uk/ Fibre Primvital consists of 80% Plantago Psyllium (Plantago psyllium) seeds and 20% of shell egg-shaped Plantain (Plantago ovata) seeds. Plantago Psyllium is an annual plant that' s grown for centuries in the Mediterranean. Plantago psyllium have on the body? Brown, small Plantago psyllium seeds swell in the intestines and significantly increase their volume. That gives a laxative effect and helps them to further regulate the activity of your intestines. Breaking news: doctors are now considering use of psyllium as a treatment to prevent swings in mood and depression. |

More people getting cancer since 2010
Lung cancer kills the most most common for men is colorectal for women, breast. (7 per cent by age 75). Some 1,800 more people were diagnosed with cancer in 2014 than four years earlier, new figures reveal. Latest cancer report released by the National Registry of Diseases Office shows that there were 13,241 cases in 2014 and also estimates that 1 in 4 men and 1 in 5 women here are likely to get cancer by the time they are 75 years old. Singapore's biggest diseases killer and the deadliest type remains lung cancer, which killed more than three people a day from 2010 to 2014. In those five years, a total of 6,899 people were diagnosed with lung cancer and 5,732 died. The most common cancer type for men is colorectal (4% will get it by the age of 75) for women, breast (7% by age 75). A total of 9,320 people were diagnosed with colorectal cancer between 2010 and 2014, and 3,723 died. |

http://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/scientists-find-switch-to-control-salmonella It can activate dormant bacteria to stick to cancer-causing tumours and shrink them. What has got scientists interested recently -  cancer-causing tumours shrinks when dormant salmonella stick to their surfaces. Now, researchers at the Mechanobiology Institute at National University of S' pore have found a molecular switch which determines whether the bacteria remains dormant or infectious in the body. The findings were published last month in scientific journal eLife. Salmonella bacteria can cause vomiting, diarrhoea and even typhoid fever very soon after it enters the body. But it can also stay dormant - for about a decade- without showing any symptoms. NO SYMPTOMS Salmonella can stay dormant for a year or more on kitchen cutting boards, and has been reported to remain dormant for up to 10 years in a food processing factory, despite intensive cleaning and decontamination. " When salmonella is expelled from the body it remains alive for some time and is capable of continuing to spread infection." Work is currently being done to find out in greater detail the inactive state of the protein SsrB, said Dr Stuti. Understanding this would enable researchers to use the protein SsrB to control salmonella. Separately, Dr Stuti and Prof Kenney are also working with other researchers in Singapore and Germany to find out more on how salmonella targets and reduces tumours. Already, the effectiveness of Salmonella biofilms has been observed in mouse models of various cancers including prostate and ovarian cancers, said Dr Stuti. |

If it interest U, is about CANCER treatment, then please share around with love one. Whether Western style  treatment or other wise. http://vox.mk/face-the-reality-fight-against-cancer/ When asked how she knew she got lymphoma, SOO AH CHUN recalled, there was a lump on the right side of her neck 1-year ago, and the biopsy result showed it was just an ordinary lump. 2-months later. Suffered from throat discomfort, redness and swelling of the tonsil. She went to hospital again -  examination result showed she was fine, except for the over-active lymphocytes. However, she did not pay attention to it, and no one realized that. Half a year later, a large lump appeared on the right side of her neck, when touched - No Pain.  SOO AH CHUN went to the hospital for the 3rd time, this time she refused to take biopsy. The large lump shrank after taking the special diet, but soon afterwards -  severe pain came. Tortured by the pain heavily. She had no choice but to go back hospital to take biopsy. This time, biopsy result showed it was lymphoma. 67-year-old lymphoma patient when asked the feeling of having cancer, she just answered in one word: accept. SOO AH CHUN refused doctor&rsquo s advice of taking chemotherapy without hesitation, when asked the reason, she said: &ldquo I am scared, because chemotherapy is torturing  and take  many times, my condition won&rsquo t get better, so I do not want to take chemotherapy at all.&rdquo   So she took natural therapy for about 1-month, the efficacy gradually showed but still needed a long time to treat. Here is how it work.... ) According to her condition, doctors from Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou specially made her a therapeutic plan: interventional therapy + biological immunotherapy. On June 28th, 2015, SOO AH CHUN received her first interventional therapy. 1-week after the interventional therapy, the large lump on the right side of her neck disappeared. She was no longer tortured by pain, and could sleep normally. Her sore shoulders could also move flexibly. SOO AH CHUN even climbed the Baiyun Mountain for three times after the therapy. On Ms Soo family http://www.moderncancerhospital.com.my/symposium/4808.html Her family happened to know that there are many advanced anti-cancer technologies in Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou. Accompanied by her families, SOO AH CHUN went to Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou for treatment after consultation. SOO AH CHUN felt endless love and care from her three sons and one daughter during her illness. She said that her family was her spiritual support. She would return to health soon for her children, and she wanted to enjoy her life.

https://sg.news.yahoo.com/why-zika-virus-causing-alarm-061034325.html Global health officials have said that the Zika virus, is rapidly spreading in the Americas and could infect up to 4 million people. The race is on to develop a Zika vaccine. Following are some questions and answers about the virus and the current outbreak. How do people become infected? The virus is transmitted to people through the bite of infected female Aedes mosquitoes, the same type of mosquito that spreads dengue, chikungunya and yellow fever. Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) said Aedes mosquitoes are found in all countries in Americas except Canada and continental Chile, and the virus will likely reach all countries and territories of the region where Aedes mosquitoes are found. How do you treat Zika infection? There is no treatment or vaccine available for Zika infection. Companies and scientists are racing to develop vaccine for Zika, but the World Health Organization said it would take at least 18 months to start large-scale clinical trials of potential preventative shots. How dangerous is it? PAHO said there is no evidence that Zika can cause death, but some cases have been reported with more serious complications in patients with pre-existing medical conditions. I) The virus has been linked to microcephaly, a condition in newborns marked by abnormally small heads and brains that have not developed properly. II) It also has been associated with Guillain-Barre syndrome, a rare disorder in which the body' s immune system attacks part of the nervous system. Answer to  suspected link between Zika virus link  and the two birth defects could be confirmed within weeks, WHO said. How is Zika related to microcephaly? Much remains unknown about Zika, including whether the virus actually causes microcephaly. Brazil is investigating the potential link between Zika infections and more than 4,300 suspected cases of microcephaly, a condition marked by abnormally small head size that can result in developmental problems. Researchers have confirmed more than 460 of these cases as microcephaly and identified evidence of Zika infection in 41 of these cases, but have not proven that Zika can cause microcephaly. It is unclear whether in pregnant women the virus crosses the placenta and causes microcephaly. Research in Brazil indicates the greatest microcephaly risk appears to be associated with infection during the first trimester of pregnancy. What are the symptoms of Zika infection? Zika virus disease typically have a mild fever, skin rash, conjunctivitis, muscle and joint pain and fatigue that can last for 2 to 7-days. But as many as 80 percent of people infected never develop symptoms. Mosquito symptoms are transitted similar to those of dengue or chikungunya. What is the history of the Zika virus? The virus was first identified in Uganda in 1947 in rhesus monkeys and was first identified in people in 1952 in Uganda and Tanzania, according to the World Health Organization. Zika virus is found in tropical locales with large mosquito populations. Outbreaks of Zika virus disease have been recorded in Africa, the Americas, Southern Asia and the Western Pacific. Zika outbreaks - At least 33 countries. Brazil the nation is most affected. Other nations and territories include Barbados, Bolivia, Cape Verde, Colombia, Curaç ao, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Fiji, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Maldives, Martinique, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Saint Martin, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Suriname, Tonga, Vanuatu, U.S. Virgin Islands, Venezuela, according to the WHO. |

NAIROBI (Reuters) - Kenya caused a stir on Tuesday when the head of its Olympics committee said. The team might withdraw from the Rio Games because of Zika, officials said later it was too soon to decide on the impact. The mosquito-borne virus, is widespread in Brazil and has been linked to birth defects, has prompted concern among athletes and sports officials around the world as they prepare for the Aug. 5-21 Games in Rio de Janeiro. There is no vaccine or treatment for Zika, so combating the outbreak is focused on eradicating mosquito populations and preventing mosquito bites. |

China confirmed its first imported case of Zika late Tuesday, Xinhua reported, as fears mount over the fast-spreading virus. The mosquito-borne illness have been reported in Asia, World Health Organization has declared a global health emergency to combat Zika as cases spread elsewhere. Officials in China said a 34-year-old man was diagnosed with the virus after he returned from Venezuela on January 28 and reported a fever, headache and dizziness. From Ganxian county in the southeast province of Jiangxi, according to the National Health and Family Planning Commission cited on Xinhua. He had travelled home via Hong Kong and Shenzhen and has been quarantined and treated in a Ganxian hospital since February 6. Health commission said  Zika disease starts with a mosquito bite and normally causes little more than a fever and rash. So far, 26 countries have confirmed cases of the virus, and dozens of Europeans and North Americans returning from Zika-affected areas have also tested positive for the virus. Brazil has been hardest hit by the outbreak with more than 20,000 cases, including over 2,000 pregnant women. Zika has however been linked to a surge in the number of children in Latin America born with microcephaly -- abnormally small heads and brains. Thailand and Indonesia have reported one case each. Health experts, warned some Asian nations are vulnerable  of Zika outbreak. |

http://www.cnbc.com/2016/01/28/who-says-extremely-alarmed-by-zika-could-reach-4-million-cases.html Zika virus outbreak is now considered an international public health emergency by the World Health Organization, a rare move that illustrates the severity of Zika. As Zika gained the media spotlight over the past few weeks, there are still many unknowns about the mosquito-borne virus. The most well-documented, although yet unconfirmed, aspect of Zika is its association with microcephaly &mdash brain damage in infants born to infected mothers. Brazil has reported nearly 4,000 suspected cases of microcephaly, in which infants were born with smaller-than-usual brains.
