They can go for rights issue instead of private placements It seems that this was planned already when they took on the private placement last year Private placements will dilute our shareholdings and in the short term the share price will usually go down, and profts will be shared to a bigger pool of shareholders. Existing shareholders has no say in private placements I prefer rights issues as I can choose to maintain my shareholding and also at the same time choose to apply for excess shares That' s why I don' t like private placements

Total acquisition cost of S$960.0 m will be funded by: &bull S$612.5 m of gross proceeds from the Equity Fund Raising completed on 9 Dec 2020(1) &bull S$347.5 m via debt and/or internal cash resources I read their presentation and believe this move is positive to shareholders.. should have buy more last week. |

Yes, and hence I think this is overall positive, possibly fire sales in the Europe area - frankly, I would question if someone knew of this deal, pushed the price down recently and accumulated. Rather suspicious the price movement.

fearing of int hike while most reits are still nursing the wound will dampen its recovery....thus i will avoid reits unless its bery attractive px to long if not int hike will see dpu dropping down wth its px too....tis is the time reits will issue rights too....dyodd | ||||

They said this in their report " The Equity Fund Raising was completed on 9 December 2020. " So I don' t think there will be any rights issue

This is reits. Theres no retained earnings unlike company. So they need to take on debts or rights issue to expand. Those who dont understand reits and like for its regular distribution payout which is STUPID. | ||||
