If it really goes to 60 cts i would have made 200k profit. I believe it would reach 60cts or even higher but may take longer than 9-12 mths . Maybe 2-3 years.

Boom time for offshore oil and gas is here. Delayed by 1 year due to Covid. But arriving now, just in time, together with the offshore wind mega boom. Rystad Energy, an independent energy research firm, expects offshore oil and gas investments to rebound spectacularly in 2021. Nearly half of all energy investment is going to into offshore new builds. Key reason: Deepwater oil is the second-cheapest in the world, after onshore Middle Eastern oil, whose breakeven price is around $30 per barrel. The average breakeven price for deepwater oil is $43 a barrel. This is good news because most of the untapped oil reserves in the world are located offshore, and despite pessimistic demand forecast, many believe the world will continue needing dozens of millions of barrels of oil in the decades to come. Many, if not most, of these dozens of millions of barrels will be coming from offshore fields. Most of the cold stacked rigs have to be scrapped because they are built for shallow waters. We need many more sophisticated/ costly rigs for deepwater projects. Boom time for offshore energy is NOW. Merger will double or triple the profit potential for SMM and Keppel O& M. Without merger, both will fly as well. Translation: SMM share is going to be worth 5x to 10x a few years from now. |

I believe Dyna mac used to eat the scraps from SMM and Keppel O& M' s tables during the good times. But during the recent lean years when there is no scrap, they are eating themselves. From their financials, they can go under anytime once Keppel makes it clear they are not offering anything. Why would Keppel want to buy more yards when they are thinking of divesting their own O& M assets? Good possibility of Dyna mac going Hyflux...

Keppel already owns about 25% of Dyna mac through subsidiary KS investment. Dyna mac is a very very very tiny player with shareholder equity of $30+million. It is trading at 3x book value purely because some are expecting Keppel corp to save them with a buyout offer. Comparatively, SMM with lower debt ratio is trading at 0.45x book value. The most likely outcome is Keppel corp would let Dyna mac goes under and buy their assets from the lenders at a fraction of the cost if they want to. I would not touch Dyna mac with a twelve foot pole.

guys, keppel corp has been divesting a lot. chances danger is right ..... kc has from its low of $4.08 went up and today closed at $5.43 joy to the world. merry christmas |

danger mentioned about keppel corp acquiring dyna-mac. i think more likely dynac-mac will raise fund to acquire keppel oil and gas instead. what are your thoughts about it ? will the unexpected happen after christmas or new year ???? |

Just collected some at 14 cents. CEO Wong paid $3.8mil for right shares at 20 cents (30% discount Christmas sales now) because he knows SMM is worth at least 50 cents per share. If you cannot buy, waiting is always free. 14 days to D day. Til then, Temasek has instructed SMM to maintain radio silence....even if they have already won a few major contracts. More manipulation, more opportunities. Trade safe! |
