(CNN) ? The north magnetic pole has been drifting so fast that it could be a problem for smartphone maps and navigation systems.

The pole has been the friend of navigators formillennia, beckoning compass needles.And the like of the geographic north pole, which is fixed, the north magnetic pole has been slowly migrating over time -- moving across the Canadian Arctic toward Russia since 1831.

But its swift pace toward Siberia in recent years at a rate of around 34 miles per year has forced scientists to update the World Magnetic Model -- used by civilian navigation systems, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and US and British militaries -- a year ahead of schedule.

China' s Institute of Plasma Physics announced that plasma in their Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST).

" Artificial sun" reached a whopping 100 mil degrees Celsius, temperature required to maintain a fusion reaction that produces more power than it takes to run.

To put that in perspective, the temperature@core of the sun is said to be about 15 million degrees Celsius.
That making the plasma in China' s " artificial sun" more than six times hotter than the original.

News comes after China shocked science community with plans to launch an " artificial moon" bright enough to replace city streetlights by 2020.

Pauli discovery n pointed out that if a non-interacting, neutral particle--a neutrino--were emitted, one could recover the conservation laws.

The first detection of neutrinos did not occur until 1955, were recorded anti-neutrinos emitted by a nuclear reactor.

Natural sources of neutrinos include radioactive decay of primordial elements within earth, which generate a large flux of low-energy electron-anti-neutrinos.

Calculations show that about 2 percent of the sun's energy is carried away by neutrinos produced in fusion reactions there. Supernovae too are predominantly a neutrino phenomenon, because neutrinos are the only particles that can penetrate the very dense material produced in a collapsing star only a small fraction of the available energy is converted to light. It is possible that a large fraction of the dark matter of the universe consists of primordial, Big Bang neutrinos.

The fields related to neutrino particles and astrophysics are rich, diverse and developing rapidly. So it is impossible to try to summarize all of the activities in the field in a short note. That said.

More current ugent questions that attracting a large amount of experimental and theoretical effort include the following:

What are the masses of the various neutrinos?.
How do they affect Big Bang cosmology?.
Do neutrinos oscillate?.

How do stars collapse and form supernovae?.
What is the role of the neutrino in cosmology?.

One long-standing issue of particular interest is the so-called solar neutrino problem. This name refers to the fact that several terrestrial experiments, spanning the past three decades, have consistently observed fewer solar neutrinos than would be necessary to produce the energy emitted from the sun.

One possible solution is that neutrinos oscillate--that is, the electron neutrinos created in the sun change into muon- or tau-neutrinos as they travel to earth. It is b'cos it is very much, far more difficult to measure low-energy muon- or tau-neutrinos, this sort of conversion would explain why we have not observed the correct number of neutrinos on Earth.

US President Trump called Abe to congratulate him. Both leader is going to talk tough, in the face of an increasingly hostile North Korea.

Abe set a deadline of 2020 to revise Japan' s constitution, it contains language that bans the country from maintaining armed forces. It' s controversial proposal that strikes at the heart of the country' s post-war identity.

Abe called the election in order to secure a two-thirds " super majority" in Parliament, which will help him achieve his goal of amending the constitution.

An exit poll by public broadcaster NHK forecast a decisive win for Abe' s coalition, saying his conservative Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) would take 253 to 300 of Parliament' s 465 seats. The Komeito party is predicted to take 27 to 36 seats.
