If it' s ur view say so.  Don' t start a post by saying as if so arrogantly that Mr so n so is wrong, quoting balloning debt, china risks, etc when the china investment is so small n the LTL is so much dwarfed by some other flying counters where rising interest rates are likely to have a substantially higher impact.

So, Mr mkt is always right  Have heard abt the other side of the coin?  Does the mkt really know?  Last yr, there was so much negative rumours surrounding DBS before it' s Q416 results.  But as it turned out, the bk did OK.  The CEO said at the result briefing abt the regatives swirling ... If I' m kind, I say they are ignorant (so mr mkt always right?) if I' m not, I say they have an axe to grind.  So, I' m always circumspect.  N why shd TS be range bound at 42c.  What u opined is very subhective indeed.

So, SMM with it' s huge huge debt is far better?  Mkt is irrational a lot of times n there is always the BB factor.  KC itself has been pressed down for well over a mth so has City Dev, two of the most wellknown coys in sg.

My personal view and just speculating - I saw the exact price behaviour at 28-29cents. Everyday pushed back to the bid and ended red. No one dared to buy the sell. Range bound for months. Really weird. And I personally think it was price suppression and for accumulation. Anyway who knows. Only the Heavens.

Well, im just stating Mr Market is currently not favouring TS that much this year as can be seen in the low volume and downward trajectory post Feb-18. And the price is always reflecting the truth. If its so good, and 18 Robinson is its so called ' holy grail' - how come the stock didnt move much? I will presume everything has already been priced in back at its ascent from 0.28 to 0.42 and now with interest rates being hiked up this has now been revalued by mr market to be 0.39-0.395 which is its current market value. | ||||

I do hope that before we start posting, commenting n offering views (some even offer advice - don' t know what kopi licence to do so), we get our facts checked n perspectives thought n reasoned  out.  I  am seeing so much fear n rumour mongering  which just don' t stand up to scrutiny.

To put things into perspective - they are only investing $15million into Hainan, and they are not building only taking a stake.  Its really very small compared to their balance sheet.  I am more excited about their Batam project.  Its the size of a mid-sized township - and they can really build this into a mega project over time - and so accessible to Singapore.  Go take a look at the project design in their presentation - you would be impressed too,

Thanks.  I don' t know anything about share prices really. Only the Heavens know. But, I think its in pretty okay shape, and Robinson 18 is almost completed. There are trees now planted on the upper floors.  As good as it gets.  Frankly, at one stage I thought they ran into some terrible construction problems due to the small size of the site and use of new technology for the basement.  Glad to see it being finished.

N by the way, since u quoted Sembmar, SMM is loss making, TS is profitable.  SMM' s longterm liabilities is 2.9 bil, TS' is 0.6 bil.  Longterm asset over LTL for SMM is abt 1.7x whereas for TS it' s abt 3x.  So, why is TS so negative in outlook compared to SMM?  N by the way, just a correction.  Mr GoldFinger was merely giving his view abt the rupiah being an added advantage for TS.  There was no reference to share px in his post u quoted.

px must be tied to risks among other thins, right?  In this case, the implication seems to be that.  Otherwise, why wld it be range bound vis-a-vis other counters?

I didnt say that, i' m just saying that Tuan Sing will be stuck rangebound for a very long time. For that time period, putting your money into other counters like Venture or Sembmar etc could give you better returns for your money. |

Goldfinger - i think you are wrong, for the past year Tuan Sing stock price has not gained back the highs of Feb 2018. With a balloning debt of 1.4 billion and rising interest rates, and now going into a china property market which is in decline, i doubt Tuan Sing will be able to even breach 0.45 post 18 robinson top. In fact its gonna be stuck between 0.38-0.42 for next 2 years. |

Actually like their Batam project - retirement plus medical concept is a good sell to Sinkies sick and tired of the ultra high cost of living in SG and the small cramped spaces. Govt doesn?t seem to care about private home dwellers either.
