I have do some research and is positive too. The midas and HNA issue is weighting on Sapphire now. When it shows better result, others will come in too. I am thinking if getting more to ride the trend up later. You? |

Did not attend AGM. But understood that CEO Wang Heng was pretty bullish on Sapphire?s prospects and personally invested further recently. I think overall sentiments pulled down by Midas even though they are not exactly in the same industry. | ||||

Actually, I' m not sure if people notice that it' s advantageous to the major shareholders to cut off the deal with HNA subsidiary as the deal is a share swap and Sapphire shareholders are getting a raw deal when price of the HNA subsi fell due to HNA' s funding problems. Of course, the disappointment is Sapphire is no longer part of a bigger scheme, but I feel it' s fine as long as they are doing well in clinching deals. Company also seems to be very well run, the numbers from their financial statements are the best testimony.

Though the HNA deal is off, Sapphire itself seems to be doing well on it' s own. Yesterday, CEO filed in SGX positive words, results out on 28 February. If they pay dividends, we can expect upward price movement. Been collecting shares of this company, the thing I like most is they are in the train business (potential One Belt asset), there' s discipline in managing receivables (they have details of their receivables on their financial statements, low bad debts), low gearing, very small outstanding shares of 326 million shares only (two major shareholders, think one of them is the current CEO who is the joint founder of Ranken Railways, the company Sapphire took over and which helped them to become increasingly more profitable). so my gut feel tells me when the time comes, this stock can really fly. But people who buy this stock must be very patient. A look at past two years, eps growth is pretty impressive, ROE at 12%, the year to date results up to 3rd quarter gives a run rate of 12 million bucks a quarter, prorated, they' d better last year' s results. also noticed, increasing NI quarter on quarter.
