I thought fundamental & technical specialist can provide us with facts or debunk the facts that I wrote so that we can read Oue better. Or at least come up with charts & explanations like sgyuan to explain the price movements ahead so that we can buy or sell better. S. Riady was the majority shareholder of that co. that sold to BTG. He was the chairman, just as he was of Lippo.... the controller even of Oue. His father has left the rein of Lippo to him. wyeo. | ||

Secondly, LCR sold Food junction to Breadtalk and it will somehow make Stephen Riady so generous that he is going to award OUE shareholders at least 5cts dividends 🤔 🤔

1. I did not say Oue' s sale of $80m to BTG but S.Riady' s. 2. I have never sung praises to the management. I have written before that it is not a top-notch management as CDL or UOL. But, I' m arguing that you can buy from the huge price discount & the yield. At 67-69% discount with much of its ppties in gateway cities like S' pore, the stock is definitely cheap. How abt. you selling me your HDB flat at 67-69% discount to me? It pays special dividend from profits made from selling its ppty. Lets say 5c. based on profits made fr. M.Mandarin & that of the airport hotel extension, the yield at 1.41 is 3.5%. But you ' ve to multiply the yield by 4x to take it to 14% because you ' ll get your dividend in May. wyeo. |

Oue commercial reit has just come out. Next is Oue Lippo h/c & then Oue. It pays special dividend from the profits it made from selling its ppties. There ' re good reasons to expect more than 5ct from the profits made in ' 19 reinforced by cashflow from Gemdale this year & S. Riady' s very recent sale of $80m to the Bread Talk Group. Flushed with cash, he cd be generous. wyeo. |

I follow the commercial ppties in S' pore. They made tens or even hundreds of millions unlike other businesses which struggles to make a few millions. Oue has an nav of $4.49. The discount is huge if you break up the co. It is silent on the US bank tower. Its purchase price & mkt valuation are on records. By minusing the two, you get hundreds of millions in profits. For this reason, one reads that the richest people in China are ppty tycoons. wyeo. |

But I expect a better dividend than 3c this q. When it divested its airport hotel extension for 205m, it made a profit of 68.7m & paid a dividend of 5c. Now it divested 3 ppties for 774m, one of which on record alone made 137m. I expect it to pay more than 5c this coming report in 1 to 2 weeks' time. wyeo. |

Well, if one is a trader & gets caught on buying high, the stock obviously does not perform because the dividends collected will take quite a while to catch up with the price difference. But I would want to say that this has nothing to do with management defending the stock or not. At 1.50 & at its ordinary dividend of 3c, it is paying a yield of 2% which is higher than FD' s. But it is not 3ct all the time. Oue did pay special dividend intermittently when it made a profit from its sale of ppties. At 1.50, it is trading at abt. 67% discount to its nav, much of which are in gateway cities in S' pore, ,US, Japan etc. wh. provide safety at such a price. wyeo |
