x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	more.... sometimes you hear people say " the market is or will be moving up" and when you look at the market, it is really happening just as forecasted by these people.   But the fact is that it happens not because of the accuracy of the forecast.   It could be certain other reasons such as the people who control the market actually wants to move the market up.   If you like to invest, put your money on some other investments like bonds, or FDs or other assets like properties, but not in stocks because stocks are manipulative.

x 0   x 0  Alert Admin	Actually these terms are mere acronyms, NAV means net asset value, value of each share after crossing out assets and liabilities. PE stands for Price of share divided by its earnings per share.   I can think of any books that specialize on giving menaings to the vernculars of the short forms.   Just google any whenever you come across the acronyms. As you are a newbie, otherwise you would be familiar with terms used in this forum, my advice is that the stock market is unpredictable, and do not follow logics because money are passed between people or institutions.   The ones who have the upper hand of calling the shot (the price) will invaribaly win.   So for newbies stay away as though you are going to a casino and know your risks. lbcben      ( Date: 06-Apr-2016 10:47) Posted: Thanks for explaining. is there any site, I can refer to for stock  jargon . eg.
