If price drops, the chance of getting another shark in the water is higher, so its okay. when a fierce takeover starts, price doubling and tripling is common. If management decides to call a Rights, and subscription is low, what may happen is the existing shareholders makan up the Rights and increase their shareholdings without achieving the purpose of raising funds. PentaOcean got the 29% at 4.7 cents? A good deal for them, it' s money in the bank already. A rights will knock the price down for them to eat more shares at cheap price. As far as I am concerned, if they call for Rights, I won' t subscribe, let the sharks fight it out, and eventually hope for a takeover to knock these sleepy chaps off. Whoever owns the company is not so important now, it' s the existing potential of the business to grow that' s there, evidenced by solid order books. Let these Koh owners take a hit to wake them up. |

On the bright side, there' s a Company with muscle who bought into Koh Eco, so this sleepy management has gotten a wake up call. They survived these 2 years where labour shortage had punished their P& L severely, but not without a price - debt ratio has ballooned up, they also lost almost a third of their ownerhsip. But the main thing is they pulled through, and order books are solid. If results suck, which company doesn' t during this period- just look at the construction companies. Now labour is coming back, the no landing policy has just been scrapped a week or two ago, so we are going back to importing labour for construction and just what Koh Eco needs. Second, promises kept. I remember one of their AGM, the Korean guy said they are going into filtration. Some shareholders were skeptical, especially with the Hyflux failure. Now I see they won this big tender, so it' s a promise fulfilled a few years after. This speaks a lot, you might say the top guys have foresight. One can only see over a period of time. How promising is this filtration business - will they be able to replicate success overseas remains to be seen. The other promise is to go into projects with higher ROE, their current ROE stinks like fish dead for a week. So if they raise their ROE as they had promised they will try to, it' s a good company for long term. Dividends come when profitability rises. As for share price, unlike some companies that protect by buyback and PR, this sleepy management takes a back seat, preferring to focus on business. This works to their disadvantage because when they need funds, the shareholders will no longer be so willing to put in additional monies for a stock which is illiquid and does not perform in the share market. What they probably need to see is a crisis in ownership - another shark in the water taking another 30% of their stocks - it' s easy with a depressed share price that is not reflective of the potential of the company. |

Most likely Game is over. 3 cents to 8cents then drop then 7 cents. Typical buy with insider news (potential orders from PUB), sell on public news (orders given by PUB). I think nobody will believe these orders can earn money with the environment of cements, sands, steel(no more 13% rebate wave from china gov), high labour cost with potential delays due to covid 19. Anyway Do you own due diligent. The party is over.
